They need to build a fan base. Their first coach didn't recruit good enough to build a team. You got to give the new coach a chance to recruit good players and win games in order to build interest on the program. USA had the benefit of already having a fan base in other sports when they started football.

It is classless. A lot of debate can be made about the issues that Ga State has, but the game day thread needs to be about issues happening in the game. If this thread gets derailed by useless smack, I will not be a very happy camper.

Georgia St is 100 years old and plays basketball(M&W) baseball, golf(M&W) soccer(M&W), softball, Tennis(M&W), and others. How did we have a head start on them???

South just celebrated our 50th anniversary. So they should have twice the support of us, right???

USA started a football program knowing they were going FBS so they recruited and built a team to ease the process. GaSt started a football program to play FCS and recruited that way. They only had one recruiting class under a new coach knowing they were going FBS.

They recruited for FCS and only one year of recruiting FBS yet they are 0-2 against FCS this season and currently losing to the third. What I have heard of their new coach, I hope he gets them playing better, I have liked what I have heard.

Georgia St just missed a 50 yard FG attempt that hit the upright, still 13-9 JSU.
