JMU: A whole lot of rootin'

I realize that we're a bit banged up, but I just can't get these two facts out of my head. This is only Charlotte's 4th game ever and 1st ever away game. I want a 5 TD victory. If we can't dominate them in every facet, I will have serious concerns for the rest of our schedule.

I always pick Dukes except for FBS games. This could be a trap game. Their coaches know Mickey very well. Their head coach has coach with MM on several occasions. That might work well with us also. But two of the Assistants were with MM during his tenure here , one being the strength and conditioning coach Durning.

we'll probably be a 30+ point favorite. uncc is ranked 245 - just 2 spots above Incarnate Word. the real question is who the hell is Incarnate Word? sounds like some post-modern hippy bull**** team.

we'll win by 20.

A trap game? For who? JMU vs. Delaware? You can not be serious.

Also, Durning was a fine strength coach (although by all accounts our new guy that replaced him is better, or at least has produced better results all across the board). But again, you can't be serious in suggesting Durning has some insight to JMU's game day prep, or influence the 49ers planning for that matter.

Again, Durning is a fine strength coach, but strength coaches don't typically participate in chalk-talks, film sessions and game planning with the HC and his principle assistants. Durning's knowledge of MM will be a negligible influence.

I'm with olddawg...this game shouldn't be close, and it will reveal much about this year's edition of the Dukes.

You are the worst and do not root.

Our defensive front line has the least depth on our team. Campbell ran for over 4 YPC and NC Central ran for over 5 YPC. If JMU wants to run it, they will be able to.

Our secondary is probably one of our strengths, as we have a Wake Forest transfer and a South Carolina transfer at the safety spots. So we have a chance if you want to sit back and throw the ball.

Offensively, I feel like we were not able to run the ball against Central and we were forced to throw the ball more than we wanted. We moved the ball well in the air, but ended drives with INTs instead of TDs.

We have a chance if you guys decide not to run the ball, and we limit our turnovers. You should win this handily unless you play down again.

Based on the play last week and MM's comments following the game, I see a W&M type game. One poor pass attempt in the first quarter and then just straight running. JMU wins 42-21 but everyone is up in arms over the run only offense and calling for MM's head.
