Facilities are greatly improved. The 5 year construction plans very much keep us on pace with other programs. Our educational product is improving as well.

Hopefully we can keep Brad Martin at the helm for a few years. I believe if he stays on a bit longer we will be in the next/final round of conference shakeups. Contrary to what many believe, I now believe Texas would not prevent us from joining the Big12.

The university would experience unprecedented growth and success with these funds. Giving would also go up significantly. More money, better buildings, better students, better for the city of Memphis, and better for future employers.

Here is UTK Facility at 40 million we Already Have 30 Mil Pledged and ANother 30 mil matching that plus already close to 70 in pledges.....25 mil for new BB facility 5 mil for Softball upgrades and and 35 to 40 already for New IPF.....Believe me Ours will be right there with Alabama/Georgia and UTK's or any SEC school once completed.....All for one, One for all, All for Memphis.....The World Is Ours Memphis....

Tigercane, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, your information is completely inaccurate. Yes, fundraising has started, but it's no where near the numbers you are quoting.

The actual dollars approved by the State of TN for the (3) major projects are as follows:

25M - Men's and Women's BB Practice Facility. Actual construction cost budget = 20M

14M - IPF. Actual construction cost budget = 10M.

There are NO matching funds for these projects as the UofM is required to raise 100% of the funds required for construction.

Oh well. Back to the drawing board TC

Um let me say it correctly for ya then....40 Mil target goal, usually means larger sum total....10 mil already bout raised from Dream vision, which will go towards softball upgrades, then 30 mil from alum pledged already and 30 mil to be matched by another big wig....25 towards BB facility and 35 mil towards FB IPF.....thats 70 mil already either raised or pledged....More likely to be even more than that when its said and done....I know you are finding i hard to believe now, but soon enough you will.....And when you take in account whats already been done at the FB Murphy complex. and 30 to 35 mil towards the IPF then yes when its all said and done our IPF will be as Nice as that of Alabama/UTK and any SEC team....And to the person who mentioned a waterfall.....You think this won't be as nice as that because of a waterfall......All for one, One for all, All for Memphis....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I said a year or two back about the facilities and the plan, Everyone didn't wanna believe or hard time believing it could happen.....All i will say is it will come to pass...And be real Eye openers....All for one, One for all, All for Memphis...The World Is Ours Memphis.....

Your estimates are so far off and your comparisons to Alabama's new facility is a joke. UA's is said to be tops in America. Even more elaborate than the new one at Oregon. The majority of IPFs around the country only cost about $10-20 million. Memphis' is projected to cost (as of 2011) $7.5 million. But that was before a track was included. Now that price will be between $10-15 million because of expanded square footage. But nowhere near the $30-40 million projection that you're claiming.
