DE/OLB 6'3 250 Jerry McCorvey
DT 6'2 280 Adam Williams
DT 6'3 295 Jerry Harris
DT 6'2 280 Christopher Robinson
DT 6'1 300 Rod Crayton

Doesn't compare to Marshall's 2-deep. They're the "best 2-deep ever." Like in CFB history. And yes, someone actually said that and meant it.

RE: USM's D-Line this year is gonna be SICK!!
The D-Line will be the strength of this team. But I dunno about the best ever at USM. There were some mighty good D-linemen in the late 90's. But I do think that this years group has alot of potential. I think we will be even better next year! All but one of those guys return.

Sr. Thornton and Jr. Nunez will both be play in the NFL. Crayton and Robinson are both Fr., both have tremedous power. They will play all 4 years they are here.

Thomas, Smith, and McCullum are long athletic guys on the ends. And Dylan Bradley may be the most athletic guy on the d-line, with a great combo of quickness and strength.

But what they have to do is play smart and play well as a unit. That's what will make them great.

I find it hard to believe an MU fan would say that and mean it. Some drink a little too much kool aid this time of year. It may the best we've had in some time. Thats as far as I'll go at this point.

I look for USM be be back on track this fall.

said it after the spring game and also after my 'spy mission'....

I can't wait to watch Smith unleashed...he is going to dominate

...have stated this "could" and not would be our best ever

your post is solid

No one said anything about this being USM's "best d-line ever"

MOST DEEP EVER.......not the same as "BEST EVER".

What makes these young men so great? I'm curious because I'm not very familiar with Southern Miss. Are the starters all seniors? UTSA might have a couple of break out Defensive lineman this year as well in Ashaad Mabry (6’3 315lbs Jr) who is a transfer from Oklahoma St and DE Robert Singletary (6’2 250lbs Jr) who is a transfer from Baylor and played in all 13 games as a true freshman for the Bears

3 highly touted freshman recruits.
1 all-CUSA first team starting DT
1 all-CUSA second team starting DT

DE is a little more iffy.

Looks like teams need to stay away from off tackle/up the gut running vs Southern Miss

About our DLine??? Are they drunk? I am worried about our DLine. If you ask me we have too many LBs pretending to be DEs. It will be better next year witht the addition of Ricardo Williams but this year I still worry.

That person is still drunk or needs meds.

Well, all the excitement over the Dline is tempered by the huge concern about the Oline.

Definite question marks on the O-line.

let's just say the DL is making our OL more prepared....OL will be fine barring injuries which is always a concern....they are getting a good test daily

Dave Duggan, Defensive Coordinator (The same CO-DC from 2011 when we won 12 games) and Derrick Leblanc, D-line coach.
