This "never beaten an FBS team" is a little trite, no? We have always been an FCS team, behind the 8 ball with scholarships, and those home conference officials. I cannot stress to you how much home conference officials mean. Sun Belt schools don't have to ever deal with that being FBS. If a SB school plays any school in their hood they get neutral officials. Huge deal. Which is why I'm glad we are out of the FCS.

SI.com's 2012 best uniforms has GSU's plain Jane with numbered helmets at #8. WE don't need to change for changes sake. The simplistic, utilitarian design is part of GSUs history is easily recognized in FCS and will be in FBS just as Bama’s and PenSt are.

I'd rather see GaSo keep the tradiional design then put one of their logos on the helmet. No offense but the logos won't look as good or sharp on a helmet. The eagle head look kind of like ULM or other bird logos. Its funny, people hate super tradition and super flashy.

I wish Texas St would bring back gold pants for our uniforms. Not a fan of the all maroon look.

I was never a fan of the athletic logo. I liked the clean/simple 'academic' logo much better. It's all good.

I've been on a little vacation from the board this off season, but I will be back in full force very soon. To those of you who have continually participated in this Eagle/Mountaineer feud that's spilled over into way too many unrelated threads...ya'll aren't going to like me.

We have a Smack section to our community here for a reason. I suggest that those of you who want to rile up your rival's fan base do so in there. If this thread hijacking doesnt stop we're going to see a big reduction in GaSo and App posters here on SunBeltbbs.

That is not an empty threat so don't test me.

By removing some of the App/GSU posters, you would actually make our fan bases look better...

Someone may consider changing the name of this board from "Sun Belt Conference Talk", to "App. State/Georgia Southern Not Yet Members of the SBC Talk". Dayam.

Texas State and Georgia State fans weren't as... aggressive when they were admitted.... Were we?

Not sure about TxSt, but Ga St only has about 10 fans. Maybe if the board schedules a money drop they could bump that number all the way up to 12.

I understand the part about GSU, but have App fans really done anything? Or are you just lumping us together since we're both move ups?

I only saw one agitator who hasn't identified who he/she is for, only who that person is against.
