The entire CARR Report is garbage. How does a consulting firm do a financial assessment when all the variables are TBD? The P5 can't even agree among themselves of what the stipend amount and new recruiting rules should be, let alone what will get passed in January. How does CARR make this assessment if they don't know what the new higher "ante" amount is going to be etc.?
For the Carr report to be worth anything at all, Carr needs to stop what they are doing, wait until January, and then start over.

Sorry Longhorn, clearly, ol' bigblue here, doesn't pay much attention to who is posting what. I guess this is how UVA came up with the comparison of ODU and doing the disco thing. I think he is a bit disturbed and flustered at the moment. We'll give him some time to settle down and then get back to hunting those pink unicorns.

Yep...for a moment there bigblu had me checking my testicles. I understand that's the first thing pink unicorns go for when they feel threatened.

Amen and +1,000. I don't care about ODU on our board and I wish them well. We will meet again in the very near future. Let's focus on JMU issues and the ODU guys will fade away.
It's all good, everyone still has their testicles at the end of the day. I wish you well in your September feasibility study.
In the CUSA meeting that just took place I think the schools let the Commish know in no uncertain terms that they had no appetite for further expansion.
Until there is more conference shakeup I think CUSA will stay put for awhile. But it will take you guys 2 years to join FBS even if you put in the paperwork before the season starts.
I would give you guys this bit of advice, if you leave the CAA keep it a secret until the last minute so that your athletes aren't punished and Yeager doesn't try to crap on you on the way out the door.

Just like we realize that you guys did what you needed to do at the time you needed to do it. Can the wait be working on the patience of some of us? ABSOLUTELY.
