RE: Best uniforms in college football
In general I like traditional uniforms, it just adds history to the game and looks classy (though some like Penn State come across as boring to me). That being said, I enjoy a lot of the new uniforms, namely the Hawaii one earlier on the thread, Baylor, and Arizona State's Nikes. In my heavily biased opinion, here's my top choice:

My favorite non-Miami traditional ones? Probably SMU, Kansas State, and Michigan.

I like it when schools have the ugliest color combos imaginable and they totally embrace it. This is football, a MAN's game, forget these sissy color combos, give me Wyoming's Brown and Yellow or Bowling Green's Brown and and Road Cone Orange. Heck, give me Brown and anything. We need more unis like these-

SMU's traditional uniforms and color scheme in general have always been great.

And FYI, I think of Wyoming's colors whenever I go to the john.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
Crimson majority with the single white stripe and bolded white block numbers... nothing says old fashioned like Alabama's uniform. Penn State, Oklahoma, Florida State, and Texas not far behind.

My favorite new uniform by far is Rutgers. Flippin awesome!!!

The Coliseum Era GT unis look outstanding.

Even the early Russell attempts to copy the look are great.

Pretty much all Russell stuff now is garbage though.

Here's my attempt at a design: http://www.easports.com/teambuilder#/sch...1346038299

What a coincidence that ALL Russell stuff is garbage now that GT doesn't use it anymore.

who are you to dump on the other schools that use Russell?

GT still uses Russell, much to my shagrin. GT is in fact Russell's "flagship" since Russell is in Atlanta. UA has UMD. Nike has UO. Russell has GT. "Lucky" us.

Your uniforms are as classy as the car. The only thing you need to make them look better are some conference championships followed by BCS wins. In all of college football nothing tops that Ford Roadster, simply iconic.

I'm siding with Perimter on this one swagger.. Russel's taken over USM's stuff and so far, it's gotten major kudos on the look.

Now that said.. I still say "old fashioned" still works best.. Florida, Alabama, Texas. You dont' need fancy to say "we're a damn good football team".

Sorry I was remembering the non-honeycomb Post breakfast cereal unis.

My mind blocked out these. I always think of Tech with the classic Old Gold helmets with the GT and the Gold pants with appropriate stripes. The other looks like the wrong team showed up.

Well, they are the Yellow Jackets after all. Makes sense to have that on the helmet and pants. 05-stirthepot

GT still uses Russell, much to my shagrin. GT is in fact Russell's "flagship" since Russell is in Atlanta. UA has UMD. Nike has UO. Russell has GT. "Lucky" us.

Russell has never been based in Atlanta. They were based for years outside of Birmingham. Now they are based in BG. Unlike Nike, Russell gives every school they work with full inclusion in the designing process.

GT is currently the only P5 school using Russell but with their growing share of the market, more are to come from what i have heard.

I know a lot of alums and fans hate the new styles, but despite what your team wears you will be there to cheer for them any way. This is all for the students and athletes.

WKU's traditional look was pretty fly, but the new uni's are sick. We rock the R and I am **** proud of it. No G5 school is getting this from Nike, sure not getting paid to wear them.

I like 'em. But I think Boise State should be prohibited from playing in Division 1 unless the field is green. 05-stirthepot

Russell may not be in Atlanta proper, but they've always considered Atlanta their home turf. While the WKU unis appear alright, GT's have been hideous for some time now. Russell also has TERRIBLE quality fan jerseys where the numbers are this vinyl crap that is obliterated after just one or two washes. Also their distribution is very bad. You'll only find it at the GT bookstore, major retailers in ATL, or online. Nowhere else.

Nothing says tradition like Houston's new uniforms. For the first time in program history we'll be wearing white helmets.
