On the bright side, we have a slough of Big Ten games lined while some Non-AQ's are worried about getting any at all. Still high on Frasier, the Nebraska $$$ should help us afford some more Iowa State-like home games.

Besides all of our efforts and energy will now be geared toward getting another SF opponent which can eventually be cancelled per the press release. Home scheduling wont even be looked at until another SF game is scheduled.

Meh. Didn't end up getting season tickets for this year because they wouldn't take my money in December/January. Put me in the group that won't be buying them anytime soon unless home scheduling improves drastically.

The only team I would even consider SF for is Notre Dame, that is it. Unfortunately, until that game is scheduled, it is clear the home schedule wont even be looked it. Just ridiculous.

I wouldn't call them excuses. I'm certainly not apologizing and I don't feel bad about not buying season tickets. It's just painfully obvious that our athletic department has done a whole lot of nothing to get the fan base excited. Six months ago we had the apex of excitement in regards to NIU football...look where we're at now. Pathetic.

I know it won't do much good, but I think I will write an email to Frazier explaining my discouragement with the current state of football scheduling. It'd be nice if someone would ask him his opinion on them changing the NU series before he had a chance to do anything about it.

I don't think it's fair to blame Spears for this. He did not initiate the change. It was necessitated by the B1G schedule changes. It would have been nice if the contract were written so that we could pull in some money from this, but that's not the case. That's not Spears' fault.

If he pulled the trigger on it, 100 percent his fault. Like someone else said, take the buyout if there is one and go on your merry way. If no buyout was written in , then cancel the games, don't mortgage away your future.

Call me delusional but shouldn't there have been some momentum re: scheduling coming out of the Orange Bowl?

I'm sure there is rationale and we'll learn more but I don't really care.

From this point forward, I recommend a $5 million bailout on everything. From coaches contracts to scheduling to catering. Catering company bails, $5 mil in the pockets of NIU! BOOM! I'm a genius!

Boggles the mind to see how go from a 3 game deal with one at SF to 4 game away series. What negotiations sills they displayed in that exchange. Reminds me of the dad tricking his son into cutting the grass for a 49 cent ice cream cone from McDONALD'S. I hope the new guy can right this ship.
