RE: Charlotte's football stadium will be named...
We got ourselves quite the conference with the best "tiddy-sized" stadiums. Charlotte, USM, Marshall, FAU, WKU, UNT, UTEP, even the future plans at FIU and MTSU look really really good. Will miss ECU though. Really disappointed that our game against the Pirates got moved to a Thursday. I was a couple weeks away from buying a plane ticket..

When NFL owner is at your game and his name is on your field, that is a big deal to recruits.

We have high school stadiums that seat than many in Texas.

It's in the budget for 2015 I believe, don't get your panties in a wad.

Ok, thank you, it was starting to get uncomfortable. 04-cheers

Looks like he's keeping the Panther's training camp at Wofford. I'm OK with that.

The $10 million donated by Richardson is twice what we were asking for naming rights.

He is also setting up a scholarship endowment fund for football in honor of his son Jon Richardson (who is still alive, so I'm not sure why it is in honor of). Not sure if that is for a single scholarship or more though.

Wonder how it feels to be Mark Richardson right now?

Jesus. Thanksgiving dinner will be awkward...

In Honor of = person is still alive

In Memory of = person has died.

I've met Mr. Richardson a few times tailgating at Panthers games. What other NFL owner drives around in a golf cart greeting fans?

That's a great name to have on your stadium. JR is a class act. Great fixture in Charlotte.

RE: McColl-Richardson Field at JERRY RICHARDSON STADIUM
I'm much happy to have a traditional college football stadium name (i.e. a person's name) then some corporation's name on it, that would most likely change every few years.

Mecklenburg County may be the only county in the U.S. with two college level stadiums with the same basic name.

Very nice! Congratulations! Having two cornerstones of the community like them stand behind your program in such a meaningful way can only add to your building credibility.

I believe ODU is now officially on the stadium announcement clock. The word is we will know specific stadium plans before kickoff against ECU.

We'll done.

It's a huge monkey of your back and huge boon to your program.
