It's going to be a raucous crowd! I've been to a few games at Dowdy-Ficklin and the crowd gets rocking as Purple Haze blares over the loud speaker and the purple smoke flies as the team runs out of the tunnel

per HM, officials tell me that 7 p.m. is the likely starting time for the ODU-ECU game

In an article today Harry Minium says expect the game to be at 7:00pm.

Good. I think they learned from last year's bout with App State. Hopefully by then it'll have cooled off a bit. I'd prefer to not be roasting out there in Uniform at noon.

Its about time we had a night opener. The Fick gets wild at night.

Just wanted to say that the full marching band is going to ECU as well as Maryland this year! May go to UNC as well.

Norfolk State as well! I know their stadium capacity is 30000, but what's their average attendance? Is it possible that most of the stadium will be covered in blue?

Between 10-11,000. Jumped up to 15k when they won the MEAC in 2011. (From NCAA attendance reports)

Of course knowing how Hampton fudges their numbers, I don't know if I should trust those figures.

I was just pointing out out of state games. haha It's Norfolk State. Of course we're going there. haha

I forgot we are playing Norfolk State. I'm likely going to ECU and either UNC, Pitt, or MD. Anything more and it gets too expensive unless I can talk a friend into daytripping it. Least likely UNC as it is late in the season. Leaning Pitt since my parents own a condo at 7 Springs so I'll havevfree lodging 45 minutes away and can make a 3-day weekend of it.

I expect Norfolk State to be a packed house and wouldnt be surprised if they put more bleachers on the track for more seating

By the way NSU is GA seating.

BTW: Remember not to get too loud at Norfolk State. It's not fair if the team can't hear the QB. :)

I remember that!

I think NSU will definitely have their share of Green and Gold in there. They draw pretty well in games vs VA schools. Attendance numbers have dropped off a little since they moved to the MEAC from the CIAA though. Of course, ODU will also be there in large numbers.

I'd expect the ODU game to be as big as the Battle of the Bays have been--if not bigger. Until Heinicke starts to get it going. Then you might see seats begin to reappear.

I hope we can convert some NSU fans to Monarchs!!!

I've heard that parking is horrible at ECU. Anyone know details for non RV parking? Hope they have a shuttle system. The shuttles at JMU was terrific.
