hearing MSU willing to listen
heard today MSU is taking a second look at the Belt. They would consider a move in 2015. Should we wait on them if they are serious about making the jump?

If JMU is completely off the table then yes. What they don't bring in football, they bring in basketball and baseball. We'd be shaping up to be a really nice baseball conference as well.

Hal Mumme is set to be JMUs OC. One of the greatest Air Raid/Spread Offense masterminds of all time. Hoping we can get them.

HOWL YEAH! They're the only FCS program that I would want to bring to the Belt, and I don't mind waiting a couple seasons for them to join. It would be a mistake to add another eastern FCS program like James Madison or Jacksonville State. Missouri State is worthy of that 12th spot.

I agree. The only problem I have with MSU is that they should be a western division school so bringing them in would create some awkward divisional alignments. This wouldn't be an issue with JMU.

How will the divisions work out with the addition of MSU? Who is coming to the east? One of the Louisiana schools maybe?

In my defense, although wikipedia gets a bad rap, its seldom wrong. Looks like its wrong this time:

YES to Mo State . . this is the only FCS school worth waiting for, but they must be All-Sports and make a solid commitment to the Sun Belt now.

I'll go one step futher. Missouri State has only made the IAA plaoffs 2 times. Once in 1989 and once in 1990. They have 9 winning seasons since 1990, most of those winning seasons are just one game above .500. If the Sun Belt wants a decent basketball program then OK. If they want a football program, then its not Missouri State.
