I remember the artist's rendering of the stadium from 5 years ago and the "home" side looked much bigger than the "visitors" side. Considering how attendance has been, I'm not sure if it needs to be quite that big. Then again, we haven't really had a big draw game other than the 1st game (Birm-Southern) and perhaps ODU. They'll have to consider future home games like Charlotte in '14.

Will there be parking next to the new side, or will we have to still park in "Y" (or further away) and walk around the field to get to our seats?

i heard an additional 5500 home seats. all metal bleacher type and no concrete or brick. think of a beefed up visitors side.

No concrete/brick? No chair-back seating?

I thought they raised all the money. Will that only buy bleachers?

just what i hear. maybe well have a pleasant suprise. i hope so.

The bad thing is we shouldn't have to be suprised most schools announce this kind of stuff on their website with drawings or renderings of what will be built. I can understand metal for the softball stadium. I am slightly dissapointed in the choice for the baseball stadium. If it is metal bleachers and not concrete and brick my personal opinion is it is a waste of money. The two showpiece facilities for an athletic department should be the football stadium and basketball arena. They did a great job for basketball and even though the football stadium would be small they have the opportuity to make it nice. Metal bleachers is essentially a high school stadium.

RE: Football Stadium
Anybody hear any news on the football stadium? I haven't been to the Creek in a few weeks but last time I was there it looked from the highway like they were doing some digging. Anything happening over there yet?

RE: Football Stadium
From the newest I've heard the press box will be above a club suite similar to baseball but two stories. There will be chairback seating with "CU" emblem with black and orange seats essentially where the big tent with seating was.

The original drawing put out 5 years ago isn't accurate of what will be put in place. The stands outside of season tickets will resemble the already completed side This is all what I've been told and picture that was shown to me last time I asked about it.

I wish I had a picture of what I saw to make clearer of what I am saying.

RE: Football Stadium
Is there someplace online we could go for details or drawings. I would love to see what they are planning.
