Remember that stAte loves you. Not one bad word from our fan base unless we are playing each other that week.

At this point, I believe stAte is the only school that truly would stay to build the SBC to it's potential. The herd/group mentality has taken effect. Change is inevitable, but a man's word should mean something. That goes for all the school's administrations.

I am far from convinced UL is getting an invite to C USA, but I sure hope so for a lot of good and not so good reasons.

But come on Troy guy, ASU is not the only school that wants to stay in the SBC, clearly if they leave it is by their own desire not a gun to their collective heads.

Because there are so many of you, your constant belly-aching about how you guys are unhappy and want to get into CUSA etc. is starting to come across as whining and yes, a bit desperate. Not to mention everytime we turn around someone creates a new thread about the subject. Quite frankly...some people are getting tired of reading the same ole tired conversations and opinions over and over and over under a new thread title. Hence why I've barely even come to the board in the last week.

Good post Troy4ever. I agree with him Z. When all you hear is how bad you want away from all of us on the SBC board, at some point it just makes the ones that know we're here for the long run feel like, just go already and let us get busy building this thing.

The most anti-FCS noise has come from that direction, I'd prefer to see things settled on the grid iron, and after I looked up Cajun Nation attendance since 2003, I really see no reason to boast. I'm wondering what all the fuss is about, we draw as much to a game with Elon and Wofford, as they averaged as a lower tier FBS program as of 2009/10. It seems that some U*La*Lafers are experiencing the "what comes around goes around" syndrome. You get what you give !

Aren't you whining about people whining?

I do not begrudge anyone from doing better with their lives or schools in this area. I run an office where people leave to further their careers with more education........I know for a fact that by doing this that they are making their lives better and their childrens lives so I encourage them and wish them well......and I still have an association with almost everyone whom has ever worked for me in the past 20 years.

My point is this....going to CUSA "MAY" be better in the long run but those TV contracts are going to change.....IF folks in the Belt had stuck together and I include WKU and MTSU in this and not the others with the addition of Georgia Southern and App State and Texas State guess what we in all likely hood would have passed conference USA and gained with that exposure a familiarity by fans across the country.....

Many folks headed or wanting to be in CUSA say it is because of perception of what CUSA and Belt are to others not in those conferences.....NOT TO GOOD FOR EITHER....and the truth is that perception is built on what happens on the field.....e.g. Boise State, and Appy State and a win over Michigan a few years ago along with their success...just to mention two.....

I doubt Troy will get an invite to CUSA and we will live with that, but should a team get an invite and turn it down....does another take its place.....The Belt had the potential to actually put CUSA under but greed masquerading as this is the best for us......for NOW maybe but in the long run unlike my former empolyees are not certainly improving themselves for the long run....but I will not tell you that YOU ARE NOT EITHER.....It is the bird in the hand is worth two in the bush scenario....Good luck if you go....but remember after all this pans out you guys are not getting a big TV contract being a Sun Belt conference of another name when you could have had a really good Sun Belt conference by THAT name.

If, if, if. Yea if the two Florida schools, UNT, and Middle had not left things could have been a lot different. They did and and WKU a regular basketball power and good at other things gone this is not your daddy's Sunbelt.

So what's a Cajun fan to do when a thread is started about us, should we sit idly by? What if posters who do not like us (Mathenis, Bubba Bexley, BRTranspant) are running a smear campaign. Aren't we allowed to respond?

For the record, I'm trying my level best to stay away from the talk AND you'll never find me posting on the CUSA board unless and until our move is official.

But I think some of you are being unfair with your criticism.

I say, who gives a Frak who stays and who goes. This cycle will be ongoing for a while and we may as well get used to it. Can't hate another team for leaving b/c everyone is doing it, hating on them for that could ultimately mean hating yourself for the same thing. If other teams leave then so be it, I enjoyed our competition together and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

While it is us posters who start the threads, it is your admistration and coach who have provided the material. And has been eloquently stated, ULL fans have made it quite clear that they have the hots for CUSA, too.

When you put the spotlight on yourself, people take notice and as you have learned the reception is not always positive.

Your key point is dead on! When none of those schools have your best interest in mind on the direction of the conference, there is no need to apologize to any of them. All this imploded in the Hot Springs meeting and we had discussions on them that weekend here on this board.

I have to laugh when I see Troy posters starting these threads because if anyone has gotten their way it's their chancellor in adding Georgia Southern and App. State. That foot print fits them more than any other program in this conference.

We haven't asked for the spotlight.

As soon as the MT defection was announced back in November, Hud gave his honest reaction. And when that happened nary a ripple was a result until some GaSo poster came last week demanding an apology.

Literally, our AD, like the Groundhog, woke up from a long SILENT winter's slumber, finally saw his shadow and spoke. AND if he didn't speak, there were several of us ready to serve up a Groundhog gumbo. I'm fairly sure, he's back in his hole sleeping.

Don't act like this is a sustained campaign against the SBC.
