[OT] Fashion @ Rice in 1970s Playboy magazine
Found this scan off another website, purportedly from a 1970s era Playboy, and I instantly recognized the courtyard. Any of you fine ladies/gents pictured here?

Wow! Excellent! Yes, I am third-and-a-half from the right (unborn fetus in brunette's abdomen). Thanks for jogging a fuzzy but warm memory.

Few things on internet message boards have the power to leave me speechless these days.

Those clothes did just that.

Flat. Out. Awesome.

Seriously, this is too awesome. Buffalo-hide jacket and all. Is there any chance these are real undergrads and not models? I mean, they did get the Rice ratio correct. :) Can we please have a caption contest??

Lest it be lost in the jaw-droppingness is a subtle cover story by King James. :) "Found this scan off another website..." That's up there with "I have friend who..." I mean, come on, man, stop bogarting all the 70's era Playboys! Don't you think the rest of us deserve a little private time with a magazine spread featuring 5 dudes with bad facial hair and 1.5 clothed women??

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that.

Fine, I'll go first: "Mary Ann cozies up for another edition of 'Storytime in the RMC.' This week's book: 'Fundamentals of Euclidean Geometry'."

Okay, I'll go second: "On my honor I have neither given nor received any hallucinogens for this picture, photo, or melting tableau of color."

Fringe-jacket wearing dude: "I'm sweating like a pig in this get-up. When will this photographer finish so we can get over to Kay's for happy hour?"

Somebody goes on Reddit...

This was scanned into the Houston subreddit earlier today. I came across it and was quite surprised.

Fixed it for you. (After all, any Rice student (coed or otherwise) would have already mastered Euclidean geometry long before stepping on campus.)

The truth is much less interesting than the idea of having a collection of old playboys. =)

Recognize several wardrobe pieces that look personally very familiar.

Didn't Rice "win" recognition for being the worst dressed students a while back?

Yep! 5 to 1 just the way I remember it.

Oops! I missed the 0.5 in the lower lefthand corner. Must have been a plant because it was 5:1 in 1973.
