"This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Bluegrass--Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bench, and Northern California Sinsemilla. The amazing stuff about this is that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus belt that night on this stuff."

You wouldn't be able to walk for the crowd of people you'd get at Highland Park Golf Course

I haven't been there in a while, so excuse me on this, but the field & stands resemble the one in Hoover to me.

Maybe it isn't possible to be that much different.

Or maybe the concession area, etc. are way much more modern.

I laugh at the suburban crackers that poo-poo this stadium.

I wonder what tune they'll sing when Barons' attendance actually goes up.

The people that constantly complain on AL.com are the same folks that would complain about the mailman being 10 minutes late on Guvenmet check day. Or the ones that throw a fit because all the Walmart provided scooters are taken when they get to the store.

Sky boxes and 400 level seats are already sold out for the season.

What do you mean? Seats are seats. Do you want them to install la-z-boys instead?

No. Just saying the layout of the stadium in regards to seats, skyboxes, etc. looks very similar.

How could it look different? Well maybe seats extending to the outfield, double decks, etc.

I also believe attendance downtown could be greater than that in Hoover.

Not too many people north of town would travel to Hoover & apparently not too many people south of town seemed to care about it.

I'd be suprised if the stadium wasn't designed with the option of additional seating later on.

When I'm feeling whimsical, I ask them if they ever lose count of all the identical beige houses and pull into the wrong driveway.

What you're talking about is how Hoover is configured. The new stadium holds like 2k less seats. you can't get very creative with seat layout at a baseball stadium.

Look at the whole place (and wait till it's finished) and then compare it with the Met. The Met looks like Fulton County Stadium, Regions Field looks like Sloss Furnaces

It's looking good. Can't wait for opening day and the buzz around UAB for it.

Hope they have the security situation under control...15 year old kid was murdered in Railroad Park this weekend. It doesn't matter how nice the ballpark is if fans can't be confident that they will be safe.
