RE: C-USA Tourney vs. UH
Guercy misses a three at the buzzer and that'll do it. Final is 72-67. Just a great effort by Tamir in his final college game. 30 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists. Singlehandedly brought us back in this game to take the lead late, but we couldn't sustain it. Tamir had 21 in the 2nd half and had a stretch of just amazing play early in the half. If Tamir's three doesn't rim out with about 2 minutes left, we have a 5 point lead, and it's a whole different game. Houston blew an 18 point lead but recovered at the end

#2. Glad Tamir & Co. made a game of it later.

MyBB RE: C-USA Tourney vs. UH
Thank you, Tamir, for staying. Now, go get your degree from Rice. The others who left will be sorry they didn't stay with their mediocre degrees (if they even get them) from other places no one really craes about in the real world.

Thank you, players of the 2012-13 Owls Men's BB team, for hanging in there, fighting through a most difficult situation and season, and never giving up despite what many others said. Your hard work and dedication will pay off in future seasons as your experience and the team's increasing depth will lead to more successes.

Thank you, coaches for doing your best and motivating these players to learn not to quit, no matter what. Their play exhibited more class and guile than many other teams with more supposed assets. These guys have character, and they hung together with your guidance.

Look forward to a productive offseason of getting good grades, getting stronger, and the incoming players who will infuse new life and depth for 2013-14 season.

We lost to a mediocre UH team (the ONLY C-USA team that we beat this year). Nothing can sugar coat that fact.

My frustration isn't at the players, this isn't their fault. Someone running the team needs to be held accountable for this though.

This is Rice, where trying is good enough.

RE: C-USA Tourney vs. UH
If you wanted to fire Braun for a season like this one, there was no reason not to do it before the season started. No coach in the universe could have gotten double digit wins with this roster. You can blame him for the transfers if you want (but seems speculative at best, more likely scapegoating), resulting in a team that could never have won very many games, but you can't blame him for the performance of the roster we had this year

I am unhappy that 5 years after he was signed, we are here.
I am unhappy that we got the fabled facilities build, and we are here.
I am unhappy that we have a contract that extends to 2017 without results.

I don't know who is responsible for this mess, be it RG, Braun or someone else. Whoever it is, should be relieved of their job
