RE: OT: The Walking Dead on AMC
An island has always been my thinking for the best place to reside and Michonne had the same idea early in this season. If they can't climb fences or unlock gates then I don't think they have the capacity to swim or weight themselves down to walk on the bottom of a body of water. An island in a river or lake would gove a source of food and fresh water. I have an island scoped out that has a lodge and one narrow road in or out but I can't tell you all where it is or you might show up and cause me to go all Rick Grimes on you.

The thing that would concern me about an island is that what if they CAN walk on the body of water's floor?
No escape route. You're kinda stuck there.

I meant Merle's brother, not Dale.
The brother definitely hits them in the face. What's the point/ They can't be stopped without a brain smash? One can still cut a hand on a bony part of the face other than the teeth.

I think it would be tested rather quickly when they take off swimming or in a boat with the walkers following as to how they handle water. The other big problem is getting to the coast, remember HALF of the american population lives within 50 miles of the coast, higher concentration of people, much more zombies.
As for punching in the face, I don't get that either, you turn from a bite, any scrape of the teeth on you and you are done, and chances are they have their mouth open trying to eat you, so you will get cut from their teeth.
And I also agree, Andrea needs to die.
Next Episode: NO Prison, & NO Woodbury

Point of parliamentary procedure: In the Walking Dead universe, you don't turn because of a bite.
The CDC guy told Rick at the end of season one (but didn't reveal it until season 2's finale) that everybody has the "zombie virus" in them already. So bite or no, you die, you become a zombie.

True, but a bite causes death which turns you into one.

I'm going with the notion that a zombie has all kinds of funk in his maw that causes some REALLY bad infection which kills quickly due to lack of proper medication.
But... I'd dare say that a broken zombie bone (limb or rib) would be equally funkified, and cause the infection to rapidly take hold as well.

Everyone may be infected (which causes them to turn into a "biter" after death), but a bite causes the horrible fever, which kills you and then ...
Apparently, as shown by the chopping off of the leg, the effects of a bite can be minimized by immediately removing that section of the body.

Spoiler alert****
Great episode last night. It was a welcome change of pace and the acting was very good, especially the actor playing Morgan. Michonne is finally letting her guard down and becoming part of the group and Carl continues his development into a badass. It is all building to a confrontation over the next 4 weeks. My hope is that they kill the Governor and move on from the prison.

The only way Andrea remains relevant in the series, post Woodbury, is if she is the one who kills the governor, and rejoins the group. Otherwise she's going down with the ship, and it ain't the Ricktatorship.

Any episode that answers any long posed question is going to be a winner right off. Was good to get answers and actually spend a little time doing so. Sometimes episodes can run through things happening without developing characters further which didn't happen with this episode.

I missed last night watching The Bible instead.
Does anyone know the title of last nights episode? I'm trying to find it on OnDemand.

There will be replays of the episode Friday (9 pm CT), Saturday (2 am CT), and Sunday right before the new episode.
Of course, you can google it and find it available on some websites...

I didn't get a chance to watch it until last night on the DVR. I agree. Taking a break for the whole Governor story line was a good idea. Best part about it was that it was unexpected. None of the previous week's previews hinted that the story line would be taking a break, so it was an unexpected and welcomed change.

I thought it was pretty obvious this past episode was only going to be following the three of them. It was a nice break though.
