I'm not a Busch fan, respect his driving ability though, but I don't think he caused that one.

Danica looked like she raced for 3rd - never made a move. Was behind a slower car in 2nd and many cars passed them in the last lap and she finished well back

8th, when I saw Jr make a move I wanted her to drop down in front of him. A Stewart move. She hesitated. She learn. I thought she droved her arse off.

I appeared Biffle and Patrick made a deal to stick together during the last caution and Biffle couldn't make his car go. She did just fine today...nothing stupid and finished the race.

Next to last run was exciting two and three wide. Don't know what happened but the last run was single file and pretty boring.

I've not been a Danica fan, but she did a great job in her first full Daytona 500. Didn't get in anyone's way, didn't cause anyone any trouble, didn't cause any crashes, and while anyone can second guess her decision to stand pat on the last lap; she didn't try to do anything that she wasn't capable of and didn't put anyone in harm's way.

I was critical prior to this weekend, but I was impressed with her staying out of trouble in her Duel and today.

There were a lot of not so smart moves by drivers that have been in those cars longer than her this week and she managed to stay clean all weekend.

She ran well. I did expect her to go with JR at the end, but listening to her interview you could tell she was just trying not to make a mistake.
The racing with these cars will get better as the season goes on.

Biffle's specialty is ruining plate race finishes with his timidness.

Danica has bigger cojones than the Biffmeister.

The thing is, when they (used to) race in big packs at restrictor plate tracks, the drivers would complain about the big packs when there were wrecks and said it was a by-product of plate racing. Now, when they are running single file, they complain that no one wants to pass. So when they pass like crazy, they complains. When they don't pass, they complain. And it seemed like all of them were complaining today how no one wanted to pass, but if they all would have gone to the bottom there would have been passing. Look what the racing was like before that final debris caution when JJ and Brad were racing like crazy for the lead! That was GREAT racing throughout the whole pack! It's funny, there are always 'debris' cations that people complain about. Now there is finally a legit debris caution, and it ruined the BEST racing of the day.

Agreed.. that ending of that race was BORING as you know what. I'll be honest, I miss the year they were doing 'two-pack' racings. you found a 'partner' (whether or not it was a team mate) and they had two-packs RACING with other two-packs.

And I have to agree with whomever said Biffle was "timid", but for different reasons... I personally think he ruined that ending of that race.

He was doing whatever he could to make sure JJ won that race (IMO). That's why I hate "teams" of racers. They don't try to win for themselves, they try to make sure their teammates win.

Earnhardt, Patrick, Martin, and a few others had better cars than JJ, but Biffle was slowing down the pack during that last run, nobody could get close enough to do anything about it,

Classic plate racing. Coming out of 4 on that last lap Danica didn't have a clue what was going on or what to do. Never cared for him in the first place, but DW's defending her every move - in every race she was in - was sickening.

Kinda surprised Tony Stewart wasn't on the radio at the end to tell he what to do. Maybe he wanted to see what she would do on her own. I got tired of hearing about her all race too, but that was the news. I don't think anybody expected her to stay in the top 10 pretty much all day. -

I agree. Part of me wants her to do well, but the other parts doesn't because I don't want to hear all the media hype about her. And about DW defending her all race - what about when they pitted under caution, she was in 3rd place (I believe), and ended up losing like 5-6 spots on pit road and DW said something like, ""Great job by Danica and her pit crew on pit road." She lost at least 5 frickin' spots! Then, a few laps later, he said Danica did just fine on pit road, but it was her crew her screwed up with a stop about 2 seconds slower than everyone else. I just loved how she lost 5-6 spots on pit road, but DW still said she did a great job.

When did Biffle join Hendrick Motorsports? I thought he was with Roush?

That just tells you that most NASCAR drivers hate "plate" racing. Just ask Mark Martin.

Was pretty happy Michael McDowell finished 9th, he used to race for my dad and is a good guy, hopefully Phil pulls that stick out of his ass and actually races some races with the money they got yesterday.
