Three guards, two forwards....
UABs lineup consists, primarily, of three guards. Memphis started three forwards and two guards.

I hope that, in the future, UAB finds a way to place three bigs and two guards into the mix.

A rather large lineup, Rod, Fahro, Alexander, Terrence, and Robert.....go with it and see how efficient they are. Those five seem to be the most "athletic" of the team.

Preston and Jordan and Quincy as sixth men....

You suggest putting our worst player on the court just to see what happens? I'm all about playing the best 5 players on the court. If that's 4 guards and 1 forward, so be it. If it's 3 forwards and 2 guards, that works too. By merely suggesting ASW play, you lose everybody's attention. If only we still had Herb...

Extremely athletic, just relatively new to basketball.
From his profile:
Quote:earned the county championship in karate, captured the U-14 district championship in the 100 meters and also was the Redbridge city champion in the high jump ... additionally, he was a standout athlete in rugby, boxing, soccer and swimming

So he would be the perfect player to foul & bang the opposition.

Michael Jordan was a phenomenal athlete, just not much of a baseball player.

ASW is a turnover machine even without the ball.We would never have the ball if he is in there for long periods of time.

He'd make a great decathlete. He's got the body for it. I bet he could hurl a javelin with those arms.

Folks are too harsh on ASW. Yea, he tweeted some dumb stuff when Davis got fired, but that's natural enough for a kid and no reason to judge him.

He tries hard. It's hard to say how good he might have been with more experience.

He's got a role to play and he does it.

He's Ok by me.

I had completely forgot ton about the tweets. I am judging strictly by his play on the court.

ASW is a terrible basketball player. He is good solely for fouls and turnovers. I think his only utility would be in a mass foul out or hack-a-shaq situation.

He does play better man-to-man defense as far as ball denial goes, but does not have basketball instincts to carry him from play-to-play throughout a game. He doesn't have a feel for the game and its too fast for him. He looks great during warmups but in the heat of the moment...and he's not 6'9", closer to 6'7".

Depends on which version we got of Soko. That guy was quite inconsistent. I think a coach who was not always riding his ass would have helped him though.

Huge +1

Our team would look so different this year had Soko and Herb stayed.
