If they didn't waive him by Monday, his contract would have been fully guaranteed.

I don't want CDR near the Grizz, but it never fails...if there is a Tiger in the draft/free agent/on the trade block there will be some Tiger fan letting their fandom leak into their Grizz fandom who says "PICK HIM UP GRIZZ! WE NEED HIM!".

No, the Grizz do not need CDR, Stephens, Adonis, etc.

The Grizz do need scoring from the wing coming off the bench. He'd be cheap. Wouldn't be a horrible experiment. The CDR is a locker room cancer stuff is overblown imo. Don't know that we really need another slasher, though.

I don't know that it would really work from a roster/payroll perspective. Could also be a backlash if he doesnt catch on, but I doubt it.

Certainly don't want to give any special consideration to any player because they went to school here, but if they would work, no reason not to look at former Tigers.

Exactly. Little to do with his being a Tiger.

Grizz need pure shooters. CDR does not have any attribute that the team is missing. So considering that CDR does not meet the needs that everyone says the Grizz have, what reason is there to sign him besides him being a former Tiger?

RE: CDR waived
-- Grizz are missing best scorer off bench for an unkown length of time
-- Grizz are having a lot of trouble scoring; CDR is a proven scorer who could free up the junk defenses clogging up our big men
-- 10-day contracts aren't binding
-- he would be cheap
-- arguably the best player in the D-League before being called up to the Mavs (GM Chris Wallace is going to see the D-League Showcase, presumably to scout options)

Agree about the need for pure shooters. Those guys are in the NBA, not the D-League.
