High school stadiums in your town
Was wondering what the rest of the schools in Cusa have around their area

My cousin came into town for the holidays and she graduated from El Paso High. I know, that sucks for her... but her school probably has one of the best picturesque stadiums in the nation, now if they could only find a football team for it. So I was wondering, what other nice high school stadiums are out there in Cusa?

Heh... the Greenville/Winterville metroplex of high school stadiums is FTL.

I will say I think Rose's gym for hoops isn't that bad.

Houston area stadiums put all other areas to shame as a whole except for Dallas/Fort Worth.

RE: High school stadiums in your town
on a side note, the school is pretty much built into a mountain, hence the scenic view of the east side part of the city. If you look at the end zone in the last picture, where it reads "tigers" (for you el paso high graduates, that would be the orange colored section of the field with black alphabets... I kid, I kid), the top right corner of the end zone ended in a cliff that fell about 30 feet straight down. I'm not joking nor exaggerating, but the distance from the corner of the end zone to the cliff was less than a foot.

I never got a chance to play a football game nor a soccer game on that field, but I did get to ref a high school soccer game there once. All corners from that side of the field were automatically placed on the other side of the field. The linesman, always ran opposite sides of what they were suppose to, because a linesman several years before, had fallen down the cliff

Is that the school? Do you have to walk across the field and up the stands to get in?

I was talking picturesque. The layout of the stadium(having the school look out onto the field) combined with the high school's architecture are pretty awesome.

Look, in glory and in awe at the stadium of my alma mater. Sorry I couldn't find better photos.

To be honest, this isn't the actual stadium at my HS, but one from another in the same county. They were all made basically the same, although I think ours is a bit smaller than the one pictured.

I really want to respect Texas High School stadiums, but they are often shared amongst an entire district. I can't respect that.

I'm guessing you haven't seen Allen, the 5A D-1 champion, and their stadium? Then, GPISD Stadium may be shared by two schools but due to the layout of the district that's all it will ever be. Pearland, a recent 5A D-1 champ used to have a palace of their own until recently. Then there's Midlothian with their palace and I think they're 4A.

My high school football stadium isn't even worth posting in this thread so I'll post this picture instead. You Texans should recognize him though he is gone now.

He graduated well before me, but used to take BP at the high school stadium when he was making his comeback while I was at lacrosse practice. His bombs would come over the fence and onto the field where we practiced. If I had any sense I would have picked one up and had him sign it.

Union, Jenks, and Broken Arrow have pretty nice stadiums in the Tulsa area. I'm a computer idiot so you don't get pictures.

Actually Independence High has an on campus stadium. Char-Meck School's do try to have a few of the larger match-ups At Memorial though. All in all its great to have the old girl for the big HS games, but I'm super glad the Niners went with the on campus option.

This is Petal High School....A city with a little over 10k residents.

This is the field house with the band bleachers in front...the team runs out from underneath the stands.

I know compared to Texas stadiums it isn't anything to boast about, but here in little ol' Mississippi, it's top notch.

I think students would be better served by placing the same energy and resources into academic endeavors.

Here is a picture of the high school stadium where I teach. There are two full sections of stands on both sides of the letters. The other side has bleachers for the home team band and dance team. The dance team, Trooperettes is anywhere from 75-100 girls. I was told it can hold about 5k.

Here is another one that is unique. It is on campus and they have blue turf like Boise St.
