If I were Pas, I would bring Goodwin in off the bench tonight. I would let the game settle into a rhythm and then insert him. The reason is, this will reduce the chances of him picking up early dumb fouls.

Starting Simpson? It will be a cold day in hell when Joshua Pastner allows Stan Simpson to start a nationally televised basketball game for his Memphis Tigers.

Plus, just because the game gets in the flow doesn't mean Shaq will automatically be in the flow when he comes in. He has to adjust no matter if he starts or comes in after 10 minutes.

Shaq is tough and plays hard; he'll be fine as long as he doesn't get caught up in the hype.

If we had a more reasonable starter than Stan Simpson I would be all for this. It seems to have actually worked pretty well with Black once he stopped starting. With Black we were able to slide Shaq to the 5 and DJ/Adonis to the 4. Under these circumstances, we would either have to start SS, or slide DJ and Adonis to 4-5 and start JJ, Geron, and CC at the 1-3. IDK we might be able to get away with it since UTK has such a hard time scoring, but it would be very high risk IMO.

That's fine. Us scoring in the halfcourt against man defense and us scoring in the halfcourt against zone isn't the issue, I feel. We'll probably struggle to score in the halfcourt no matter what and we'll need points in transition.

But UT vs. man defense and Ut vs. zone is like night and day, and UT porbably won't get a lot of points in transition to spark the offense.

I don't think anyone has to tel DJ that he needs to rebound. He does that regardless. Adonis on the other hand, yes, needs to be told he has to.
