Louisville getting help with tickets
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball...ville-fans

The Louisville-based pizza company made a donation to Louisville to help offset the cost of the remaining tickets to the Cardinals' Jan. 2 meeting with Florida in the Sugar Bowl. The tickets in the 600 level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome were originally listed for $135 but now can be purchased through the school for $65 thanks to the donation from Papa John's.

Corporate sponsors.. That would be nice. I'm still all for selling naming rights to Huskie Stadium.
14,000/17500 tickets sold.. not a bad job at all Louisville.

They're playing Florida in a domed stadium, so no weather issues. This is the biggest game in the history of Lville football. Compared to facing KY, Mizzou State, North Carolina, USF, Cincy, Temple & UConn (home games), Florida is a heck of alot more appealing. $65 is affordable for that game

It's a 10 hour drive from Louisville to New Orleans, so they got a good draw w/r/t location. Miami is essentially a 2 day trip or flight both ways for anyone not in Florida.

"Papa John" Schnatter is actually a graduate of Ball State. I distinctly remember a while ago hearing that he rarely gave anything back to BSU, but had a hard on for Louisville and Cincinnati.

Schnatter has backtracked on the issue of providing healthcare to Papa Johns employees. He said his earlier remarks were "taken out of context." Yeah, right.

Love how these people that own multiple homes and have a golf course on their property and pay their employees $hitty wage$ whine about health insurance costs. How much will he have to raise the price of pizza to pay for this . 50 a pie, please

This is why a 8+ team playoff where more than the final 3 of the games (final 4 teams) are played at a neutral location would not last long.

He also wrote the check to make C Strong the highest paid coach in FBS... His new pay day will move him past Saban... Pure craziness!

With the TV rights going to a play-off instead of the BCS the income generated will be 5-6 times greater then what is presently generated.
Papa John will be able to devote the money to their employees healthcare instead. The BCS system is inefficient that is why it requires questionable private donations to sustain it.

If your argument was correct how is the NCAAB playoffs profitable?
