And Kentucky is 85th. I will take Kentucky over WMU playing at University Arena in front of a capacity crowd for $10000. Does RPI mean anything? Perhaps later in the season when teams have played more games against oppostion that can be accurately assessed at that time.

Do you know what RPI is? Maybe you should quit while you are (way) behind.

I know exactly what it is. For cring out loud. What I am saying is that right now it doesn't mean very much. A month and a half from now will be a more accurate assessment of any team in there with more games under their belts. And at that time, I would be willing to bet that there will not be such a huge disparity between WMU and Kent St.

Nobody said anything about what the RPI will look like in 6 weeks. It goes without saying that as the season progresses, the rankings become more accurate.

What exactly is your point?

Are you mad because WMU is ranked so high? 01-wingedeagle

Is that because Kentucky has more black players?

All I am saying is that it doesn't mean anything right now. It isn't a "Good Sign" because whatever our RPI is doesn't mean anything for us. RPI is only important for at large invitations into the tournament and that ship has sailed for the MAC. WMU got one in 1998. Has a MAC team had one since? I think maybe but I'm not sure.

Are you goofy? Would you rather be ranked 60 or 300?

I have no delusions of an at large bid....but it's somewhat helpful when measuring ourselves against our peers.

RE: RPI
All rocket is saying (before he got attacked by persky) is that the sample size is too small for it to mean anything.

You guys need to stop calling out posters that don't toe the company line.

So if our RPI was currently at 300....how many people would be complaining about it right now?

I pointed out it was a "good sign". Nothing more...nothing less.

Lol, I didn't read the "other" thread until after this one...

I get why you were so quick to pounce.
