me and 4 other guys bought ours through niu, figure since we arent regular donors we could pitch the extra dollars to help out NIU

also just a heads up stubhub has an estimated time of delivery to be Dec. 31st for all tickets!!! That is a major worry if you are buying from them. I would keep an eye out on this!

I bought mine thruogh stubhub and got better tickets for similar price.

Stubhub said I can change the address at anytime, and since it is 2 day fed ex shipping, If i don't have the tickets by Christmas, I am changing the address to the hotel.. They also mentioned that is the "guaranteed by date", but sellers don't get paid til tickets get shipped.

I just bought six tickets from NIU to help since i can't be there. Yes, tickets are pricey but if you can afford it then buy them from NIU.

Is there a way like in years past to buy a ticket and donate it to a member of the armed forces? I would do this in a heartbeat. Especially if they offered a souvenir ticket of some kind for doing it. I'd pay extra for the fake ticket. HuskieJohn should bring this idea up to this people in athletics.

But i am also not dumb.. I am not going to pay $165/seat for one i got for $40... That's just bad math..

LOL Hilarious. Please explain this logic to me. I have been a season ticket holder since I left NIU. Actually... I have bought 2 tickets every year without anyone designated for the second one. I am not buying my Orange Bowl tickets from NIU so I can afford my season tickets next year.

How much are tickets going for through the NIU ticket office? Im considering buying tickets to help the conference even though I cant make it. Is it bad that my seats will be empty but a ticket will be sold?

Wow everyone is going to laugh at us when we only sell 2,000 tickets of the 17,500 NIU has because they don't want to pay an extra few dollars a ticket to support our University financially or publicly when they announce how many tickets NIU sold.

If there's anyone who would make the effort to support the university, it's him. As a young alum, he's doing what he needs to do to be a part of what's going on.

I'll be buying through NIU for the exact reasons you suggest, but if this game had come around in 2003, I would not have had the resources to simply "support NIU".

Ended up buying then through NIU, not because of the comments in this thread though. I ended up concluding that the chance of being with fellow NIU fans is higher of bought through NIU. That, combined with the support I can provide to my Alma mater, and the guarantee that me and my friends have tickets, on time, and together, was all worth the 50 dollar premium.
