Most Cajun fans just aren't very happy with the way we ended up attendance wise, our first 2 games had bad weather, and having a Tuesday night game hurt us, but won't make excuses, stAte is the attendance champs this year.

yep i watched the ark state/fiu game on espn one night this season and despite the 11 or 13k reported attendance... there was literally about 200 people in the stands, maybe 3 or 4 hundred if you include the band. i went to the jmu @ villanova game this year and there was about 4k people in the stands. that game looked big time in comparison.

Go figure that the top 4 are all the schools passed over by CUSA. Have fun with those no game day atmospheres CUSA!

some of the best supported, top fcs teams are the ones that "thus far" have been ignored by fbs conferences. it's all because we're not "in big markets" and "we bring no value". really, 20k+ fans is no value compared to a sub 15k team in a market that doesn't care about them? lol whatever you say bud.

Kudos to Benson for tricking C-USA into taking the 'belt's dead weight. The man is a genius, I don't understand why he was booed for making the 'belt stronger.

Well thats partially because most CUSA teams have no idea what a full stadium looks like. the ones that do have an idea are the ones leaving for the Big East.

if you add app state, ga southern and jmu, the sbc could very well beat the cusa in attendance sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, the people who pay to put us on TV dont see it the same way. Itll take a little more convincing.

Lol and all 4 top attendances are in "small"
Markets... Our "big" market schools are sitting at the bottom in attendance.

I'm glad both Florida schools are moving to CUSA. Nothing against their posters on here, most of them are class folks. It's the attendance thing. They are both awful in hoops & football, the two main revenue sports. When someone can explain the attraction of a little fish in a major market please explain it to me.

our last two home games got it for us. we broke set two records in as many games. we reached the #2 on highest attendance in history of stadium in the thursday game against monre and broke our attendance record for the history of the stadium yesterday against MT. there is so much up side to stAte its crazy. the state has been dominated by 1 program forever and people are hungry to be a part of something new and exciting. if we beat auburn game 1 next year we will be announcing expansion plans by the end of the season. our schedule next year is extremely favorable and with OOC games of Auburn, UAPB, Memphis, and Idaho. we very well could go 4-0. and sets us up for the possibility of a 12-0 season. we are one of 2 programs in this state at the FBS level. stAte is busting through the door. and honestly idk how long the sunbelt will be around to hold on too us. (not a dig at the Belt at all as i am a fan of sunbelt football.

Until last week, I was hoping that we all would stay in the Belt and grow it into a strong and viable conference. Just as the conference started making some noise, everyone decides to split up. I love the Belt, but I don't want us to get stuck in a watered down conference with a bunch of FCS moveups. If we get to C-USA, I have a feeling that UL's future is with the new MWC. I'd miss those games with those crazy Cajuns though.
