RE: FCS 4-pack
I am going to say this and Duck.

The Liberty posters actually are sort of...well...right.

If we keep adding big market schools, CUSA will keep taking them away. We have to be prepared to step away from TV markets, and add schools that we know the other leagues wont want to touch for a while. App State, Georgia Southern, James Madison, and yes even Liberty, fit that bill.

We have to give up the "We cant be a move up conference" idea. We freaking are a move up conference. ASU, WKU, ULM, UL, and Troy were all succesful FCS programs until we journey'd out of the wilderness and reached the promised land. (Biblical reference in a Liberty thread...points for me!) We have to accept that the SBC is a move up conference, and then step out and prove that our move ups are much better than KFCU and New Dominos or whatever their name is in that other league. James Madison, App, and GSU all were FCS playoff teams very recently. Unless you like trips to Moscow Idaho yearly, we are going to have to get used to being a start up league.

I'd rather not take any, but it looks like all the Sun Belt Conference ever will be is a FCS stepping stone conference...

No means no, unless it doesn't...

Dude get over yourself. There are plenty of other FCS teams that are more appealing than Liberty. You are at the bottom of a very large FCS move-up barrel. I'm not trying to be mean, but we're not interested. Move along.
So honestly you would take Jacksonville St, Lamar, and Sam Houston before Liberty?

The sad fact is that the Sun Belt Presidents screwed the pooch by not offering Appalachian St and Georgia Southern this summer. They didn't even need to start their FBS transition right away, but could have offered a transition period like ODU received from CUSA.

The bigger issue is that the Sun Belt needs to have a plan to add for 12 football members right now, as ACC/Big East events can lead to even further poaching. One can only imagine what would have happened today if the ACC took all three of UConn, Louisville, and Cincy, as had been rumored.

Looked at this board on Monday, and thought it would be panic city. But it wasn't, when it should have been. Only today has their been a meltdown, while the writing has been on the wall every since the Maryland rumors. Not trying to be harsh or anything, but this board is as guilty of not being proactive as your Presidents.

I used to live near the campus of USA, and knew people in the athletic department there. So I'm an advocate of the Sun Belt, but there should have been serious concerns this summer, and especially earlier this month.

Agree, SBC has not be aggressive enough. Seriously, if some people could see through their religious / political / Jerry Sr. hatred, they would see Liberty Athletics as a great choice. We offer a lot and the people who need to know, know that well.

Also. What do you even know about Liberty? Where did you get your info? Have you ever been to LU?

So much hate, so little actual knowledge. Come on up and I'll show you around. We don't bite or throw people who disagree in firey furnaces.

The day Liberty joins the conference is the day I start giving my money to the SEC.

I could not cheer for a school that would be okay with them joining.

A lot of tolerance there.

Guess you would reject an offer from the ACC because Notre Dame is there.

Certainly you shouldn't want Troy playing a Big 12 team, because the existence of Baylor in that conference.

Furthermore, Troy is about as dead center in the Bible Belt as you can get. Most of the people there associate with a belief that you hate. Same with Auburn and same with Alabama. Isn't that a bit inconsistent?

Intolerant how?

Because I refuse to have anything to do with an institution who's values place homosexuals below the status of human?

If that makes me intolerant in your eyes then certainly you'll understand that I don't give a **** for your opinion on the matter.

Hi Paul. I missed talking to you. First of all, as usual, you are uninformed about Liberty. We may not agree with you but I assure you that all sorts of people are loved and tolerated at LU. The opposite of what you and others do to Christians like us.

But it's OK, because I'm sure yours is not the predominate view.

FOOTBALL please?
