NIU WR's
Since the late 90's we have had an NFL caliber WR on the field.
Justin McCariens: Graduated 2001
Darrell Hill: Graduated 2002
PJ Fleck: Graduated 2004
Dan Sheldon: Graduated 2005
Sam Hurd: Graduated 2006
Britt Davis: Graduated 2009
Nathan Palmer: Graduated 2011
Looks like Martel Moore will play in the NFL and maybe Perez Ashford.
So who is comes next? TLL's size may be an issue. We have not seen miller play, maybe Brescacin?

I think that Brescacin has a tremendous upside!

He better.
I think we're going to miss Moore and Ashford more than many think.

Martel definitely has a shot at the NFL. Perez is terrific, but scouts may feel he isn't big or quick. But his ability to catch a tough ball is second to none. The one Perez had Wednesday in front of the Toledo bench reminded me of his snare near the end of the MAC title game. Tremendous!

RE: NIU WR's
I'm a huge fan of both Moore and Ashford. We won games both last year and this year because 1, they make great plays, and 2, they catch the easy ones on 3rd and long to get a 1st down. That's the difference between a winner and an also-ran.
I sure hope Brescacin can at least partly fill in for Moore/Ashford next year, he has the size and appears to have the hands. Then Charlie Miller and TLL can round out the cast. Maybe Sebastiano can step up too. Otherwise Lynch will have a hard time getting close to this year's numbers.

I thought the same. The MACC catch still amazes me for as hard as he got hit.
Tough year for Perez being injured, but it sure was great to see #7 out there again and he made a great stretch to get the TD.

You forgot Matt Simon who had a nice career including a near-1000 yard season in 2007 and a cup of coffee in the NFL.
Martel Moore is arguably our best ever. He has been absolute money this year.

I still think there is a huge upside for him. He played pretty decent as a true freshman last year and think this season was more of "growing pains". Still has a lot of potential.

RE: NIU WR's
It could be a tough year next year when TLL/Jamison Wells/DaRon Brown are going up against the opponent's best CBs. TLL makes a few plays now with Moore and Ashford doing msot of the damage. Last year NaPalm, Moore, and Ashford made most of the plays, we knew we'd be OK at WR this year with Moore and Ashford back. This year TLL is the only one making plays consistently who will be coming back ... we're really going to need someone else step up. Brescacin has the size to go up and get a one-on-one jump ball, but I'm not sure who will be our go to receiver on 3rd down next year.

That's why I was hoping to see more of Brescacin this year. So far he looks good.

Just looked at some stats, Brescacin has over 200 yards with only 9 grabs. Impressive, he will be a match-up nightmare next year. As for TLL, he will NEVER go against the best CB a team has. He will ALWAYS play that slot role, if teams put their best cb to guard a slot guy they will get absolutely torched. I'm a little skeptical for next year but still very hopeful. Brescacin, TLL, and Miller will be fun to watch. I want to see more of Sebastiano tho. Every receiver who will play next year probably, Wells, Brown, Brescacin, TLL, Sebastiano, Miller, and a little bit of Brinlee will have certain roles in the offense. I think that's what makes this group so deep, they all have different skills and fit into our scheme very well.
