I don't know what to say about this game. We won. We won big. Besides the loss to villanova it was probably our worst game of the season , but we still won so i can't be mad...

You're right, it's tough to be mad. But the fact of the matter is this was a piss-poor showing today in many ways. Once again we refuse to play four quarters of football. I feel the Nova loss is forgotten and we are getting cocky again.
Let's not mess around and lose these next two games. I really feel we should go into the playoffs at 10-1, but that's just me. If we play like we did today, we certainly won't have that record.

Why not? They can take the place of an FCS opponent, count as an FBS win, and we don't have to pay them.

Fortunately, we have the ability to come back in any football game... unfortunately, so do our opponents.

RE: NEXT: Georgia State
Once we get a shut-you-down, kick ars, high energy/high intimidation defense we will be a force to be reckoned with for any team. Our defense is still allowing big break away plays. Our Offense is almost Oregon'st at times....fast pace and hard to set up a D against. We can't go deep in the playoffs until the gaps in our D are addressed.
Good win today Monarchs. My hat is off to Coach Curry.....a great man, coach, and voice of college football.

RE: NEXT: Georgia State
Mandatory cliche " a win is a win". Now, I feel like we are the worst 8-1 team in the country!! We don't really dominate anyone, we just outscore them. 3 interceptions, give up a kick off return and a 93 yard bomb for touchdowns, fouls, fouls and more fouls !!.When is Wilder going to correct the foul situation? My prediction is we don't go any further in the play -offs this year than we did last. As a matter of fact, if we have to go on the road for the first game that may well be as far as we go. This is a 1/2 football team. All O no D. We are not as good as our record. Next year we get our lunch handed to us by FBS teams.

W&M is playing better. They almost took out UHN today. We are going to have a tough one next week.

W&M is going to be a tough down the wire game I predict. Coach Laycock is a very good coach tactically speaking. He will go after our weaknesses as we should expect any good coach to try and do. W&M held their own at New Hampshire today. Expect the same next Saturday.

I look at it this way - if our basketball team was scoring 100 points every night, we'd all be stoked even if the other teams scored 65.
Wilder >>> Taylor. Enough said.

Look; when you have a quick strike offense, the defense spends an inordinate amount of time on the field. This gives an opponent's offense more chances. Additionally, sooner or later your defense is going to get tired.
This is just the way it is.
If you have any question about this, just take a look at our FBS twin, the other OD (Oregon Ducks) vs USC right now.

In fact; since the Villanova loss, we have allowed 20, 26, and 27 points respectively; two of which are pretty good teams.
Against GaSt we allowed the same number of TDs as JMU.
I am far more concerned about the number of interceptions we are throwing each game than I am about the current state of the defense.
