RE: Last night's ABC 7 Extra
You still contend that the "majority" or the "city" is upset. You can't prove that. Just like I can't prove the opposite. Your polls have votes that number in the hundreds. The amount of people that post on FB threads or at the EP Times complaining are in the dozens.

If someone is "shocked" that City Hall is going to be demolished, then that someone hasn't been paying attention. That is there problem. Progress, in this case, isn't going to be stopped by a few ankle biters.

Kiss City Hall, the Abraham Chavez Theater, and maybe the Civic Center good bye. Hopefully a stagnant El Paso goes with it. Will a few crabs get uspet? I don't know and I don't give a ****. Let's move forward.

RE: Latest poll on triple A baseball
How can you make such ignorant arguments?

Those who voted "Yes", and those who voted "Yes, I want to catch a few games" total 50%. If only a couple of those who voted "I'm not sure yet" end up deciding for it, it means the majority are excited.....

Based on the continuous stupid points, I strongly believe you are doing this just to argue, and sit back and marvel at argument you create with others. And it's gettin old.

Last night's ABC 7 Extra
Why does this city even need a city hall anyway, they cost too much to maintain. Put the Mayor's office in The Fall Mansion, have the city reps have offices in their district, have the city manager and Meeting Hall in the Luthor Building until a smaller building is found.

Lawsuit filed to stop Ballpark
Back in April there was more public opposition to bus art than any bond issue. They spent several council meeting on every bond issue. People should be more angry with the County not the City, but this is the same electorate that keeps electing idiots & overpaying them 6 figures while city reps are highly underpaid making less than minimum wage.

RE: Latest poll on triple A baseball
As of right now, 51% of the voters in that poll answered yes, 42% voted no, 7% not sure yet... I'm guessing if those 7% haven't been turned off by the stadium so far, they probably will be proponents of the stadium...

Fitbud, you're in the minority

And yet here you are arguing with me.

I wasn't even making an argument. I am simply posting information on a sports story.

My house could use some renovations. I have two budgets. One to fix a few things that are straight up damaged or broken. Another to make my house the way I want it. One budget is for the essentials and one is for a renovation.

That has been my point all along. That the 30 million dollar price tag is not to bring it up to code but for a complete renovation of the building.

So 1/10th of one percent of El Paso?

The only way to truly find out what this city wants is to put it to a vote.

That would settle it once and for all. If the city wants a stadium where city hall now stands then let the city vote for it.

All of these resentment can be avoided this way.

RE: Last night's ABC 7 Extra
I've been ready to move forward since city council decided to build the stadium at the City Hall location.

I will be more than happy to see a few games here and there and will thoroughly enjoy them.

I realize that some people like to eat sausage and wish not to know how it's made.

I don't know how many people actually voted on the poll before they took it down.

Regardless, it is a percentage of the people which would likely apply if you sampled 900 people or 900,000 people.

No I haven't

No one in this forum has produced anything that says that the 30 million is needed to bring the building up to code.

On the contrary

I have posted an article that clearly states that the 30 million is what city council wants for a complete renovation.

Something that would make city hall like a brand new building.

But you can't say it accurately reflects what the city feels.
