RE: OT: Georgia State
The last year dealing with Yeager and his Richmond morons was probably the last straw. It precipitated a last minute FBS push with the intent being, anything is bette rthan the CAA. The basketball season absolutely sealed. I have never seen a team at any level receive that level of no calls in their own building. Then to have your HC cursed at and ejected from a CIT tournament game by a CAA ref followed by another CAA ref ejecting a CHEERLEADER....let's just say the CAA is reviled around here.On a side note,we have plans in the works for Jerry Heater's return to the Sports Arena. At any rate I expect that the next head coach will be a current ACC, Big 12 or SEC assistant. I dont think we will get a coordinator. Either that or a former HC looking to get back in the game and no, not Petrino.

Just for you 03-wink

As far as I'm concerned you're welcome to troll the ODU boards anytime you like. We don't have any kind exclusive c*rcle j*rk going on like at the SunBelt boards and most here can handle some smack talk, not that a Panther will have much to talk smack about anytime soon.

November will be here soon enough and our DC is gone thankfully. Always wondered how our porous defense could produce 3 professional players this year. Glad he's gone.

Ha ha, what game was that.

C.I.T. game vs Mercer. When Coach Hunter was ejected she threw down her pom poms and was tossed.

With the right coach Georgia State will be good in the Sunbelt. Who knows one day we might be sharing a conference again, that's if we don't move up first. 05-stirthepot

Well lesserGSU got smoked by a MEAC team last night. So I'm thinking the little panthers are looking at 1-10 or maybe 2-9. Great send off to be Slum Belt doormats. So glad you guys found your natural level.....

Right now every Richmond alumni, player, coach and school administrator are on their knees thanking God, Allah, Vishnu, and any and all dieties out there that lesserGSU is on their schedule this season, even if only for one year, so they won't have a 0-8 record in the CAA this year!

Ouch, they have 2 winnable games left on their schedule by my calculation: UTSA and Rhodie. After last nights performance I think they'll be underdogs for both of them.

I don't know Tennessee might be looking past them for their annual Orange-White scrimmage game.

This is the most talented team for UT since Kiffin's one-year layover. The Vols can look past them for the first two quarters and still win by 20, as no one on the Panthers is stopping Justin Hunter or Cordarrelle Patterson. Furthermore, even with how awful they played last season, UT still waxed Montana (42-16) and Big East co-champ Cincinnati (45-23).

No drinks yet, dude, just a little defensive when it comes to Tennessee football (I actually went to UT initially). Didn't sense the sarcasm since there is some kernel of truth behind your comment and no smilies. Tennessee has historically played down to lesser competition. I was there when they lost to Wyoming, struggled to beat Northern Illinois, limped to a win over Duke and were pushed to double OT by UAB. However, since Dooley has taken over, the tide has shifted. Now, they stomp who they should, win half of the 50-50s, and lose all games when dogs. And it's why he probably doesn't make it to the end of the season.

RE: OT: Georgia State
Back when Fulmer was still coaching....

A Clemson assistant was on a recruiting trip. He stopped by two schools (summertime - pre season) looking at two specific kids. Both kids drove home with Escalades that day, and both committed to Alabama that day. The Clemson coach made a comment that was overheard and published, "I guess all the Alabama Recruits are driving Esclades this year!" At which point a UT assistant calls up Fulmer who called up the boosters, "The Explorers aren't working guys!" (OK that last part was speculation on my part)

But seriously there is a reason we call it the SEC or "Sure Everyone Cheats" conference.
