I think there's something very odd with methods and criteria when WMU ends up behind GVSU and Andrews University.

RE: Forbes College Rankings
"The rankings are based on five general categories: post graduate success (32.5%), which evaluates alumni pay and prominence, student satisfaction (27.5%), which includes professor evaluations and freshman to sophomore year retention rates, debt (17.5%), which penalizes schools for high student debt loads and default rates, four-year graduation rate (11.25%) and competitive awards (11.25%), which rewards schools whose students win prestigious scholarships and fellowships like the Rhodes, the Marshall and the Fulbright or go on to earn a Ph.D."

RE: Forbes College Rankings
Difference in cost doesn't help in regards to WMU vs GVSU.

I don't care what their admin says, within 20 years, they will be pushing to be DI and FBS. Their growth rate has been very impressive and they have lots of potential.

RE: Forbes College Rankings
We're ranked just behind Boise State? **** their methodology. I don't buy anything where we're ranked behind a jumped up truck driver school.

RE: Forbes College Rankings
If you look at the cost line, they claim WMU costs almost 35k. Something is wrong with their data.

ALTHOUGH, she did commit suicide. So Forbes must not take NPV into account.

Ha, yeah... not saying I agree with his view on everything.

That said, there is some great data-driven analysis in the book about rankings and other stuff.
