6????? You may want to check that buddy
Guess counting isn't a skill needed at FIU????
FIU series record against UNT:
2005 Loss
2006 Loss
2007 Win
2008 Win
2009 Win
2010 Win
2011 Win
Thats 5 not 6. That's still domination but not sure why you feel the need to exaggerate
First snickering over a stadium having 5k less seats than your own, and now making a big deal about losing 5 in a row instead of 6? You have to be trolling.
Hahahahaa I love it. Please UNT, you have a great stadium. But it doesn't matter what your stadium is made out of as long as it looks good. Like I said, FSU's inside concourse is a maze of metal. I dare you to go to Tally and say that their stadium is cheap and ugly. Double dog dare you. I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU!
This is a clown arguement, bro.

Im not snickering that the stadium only seats 25k, I'm snickering that it had to be EXPANDED to reach 25k.
I wasn't making a big deall on losing 5 in a row, just merely pointing out the error. Granted, FIU (and just about everybody else) has been dominate over UNT the past few years.
Look, some people may like FIU stadium. I dont. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but I think it's the worst in the Belt They went cheap, built small and lacking, expanded to still be small and lacking. Everybody has a right to an opinion and Im just expressing it. BTW, There is nothing wrong with a metal stadium! FAU built a beauty of one, MTSU as well, UCF has a great stadium, SMU's upper section is all metal, and yes Apogee has a metal support structure on the upper section of the wingzone. From the drawings it looks like FIU has the potential to be a decent stadium, it's just not there yet.
Im done with this thread, can the season hurry up and get here already???????

It's not just UNT fan either. CUSA fans have RIPPED UCF's stadium because of it being Steel.
I've never understood it.
I will say this though, FIU needs to put up scrims/covers over the structure. FAU's did that with pictures of players and other images and it really looks great. The infrastructure can look bad when viewed from the outside.

Well I don't know the last time you visited FIU, but their stadium has come leaps and bounds from where they were 5 years ago. I'm about giving credit where it's due. FIU/FAU are VERY different programs compared to the rest of the nation, and both are handling their stadium issue VERY well considering their situations with fan base, debt, student growth, etc... I understand that you don't like the stadium and I respect that. But if you haven't been recently, I'd try giving it another chance.
I tip my cap to our friends down South for the good job they're doing with their facilities. Keep it up guys! (Not really, we could use some recruits)
The latest FIU stadium project makes a big positive difference. It now looks like it belongs in I-A. How they built that place with no legitimate press box or suites is beyond me. The suites help pay for the building.
Every time I have covered a game there, we (print and Web media) have been in a tent-like thing with folding tables and chairs, extension cords and such - windy or hot as hell - in the southeast end zone. I hope that situation has been rectified.
The full build-out drawing looks great - like a smaller Joe Robbie.
Oh, and Doak is a complete erector set enclosed by buildings. Florida Field is a dump inside - Really disgusting in places. Brighthouse looks pretty basic. FAU did a better job of making its version look impressive.

BMarkey hates FIU because he is an FAU fan, he has tons of history and you can search his posts (its kind of like a Ga. So. posters for you guys). The UNT poster was just a pot stirrer, I mean, how long did UNT have football (if you can call the train-wreck that the past few years have been, football) before they got a decent facility? We'll start taking advice from UNT the day we want to return to the bottom of the standings (the first thing we'll do is hire a HS Coach).
I'm astounded as to why he keeps repeating the same thing even though he knows it's a lie.
Fact 1: FIU Stadium has 19 suites since it opened in 2008.
Fact 2: For some reason they didn't put any permanent press box for the first two seasons (2008-09), and the FAU media contingent had to deal with a mess of wind and rain in 2009. He made sure to let this known.
Fact 3: FIU has had 2 press boxes since 2010 season, albeit not huge and located both extremes sides of the suites building.
Fact 4: BMarkey is a fan of Troy (alum) and FAU (a close relative went there, and he lives in Palm Beach County).
Fact 5: Both his teams played at FIU in 2011 at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium. Maybe he didn't "cover" the game at either of those games. But...he knows of the press box changes.
Fact 6: He's been told of these changes publicly before last season, yet he keeps repeating the same thing (now lie), since first time he went there in 2009 in FAU game.
Fact 7: He is a very good photographer, and takes pictures and posts them in this board.
Fact 8: For some reason, he's gone out of his way to state the FIU-Duke game last season wasn't even close to a sell out, when the stands were either very close to being full or just full at the peak.
