I only post at the den and it's a ghost town in there. I like to stay sane and away from digs, something about that place just gives me a headache

Greetings from Blazer Nation. Was wondering how UTEP's basketball and football teams are going to be this year, I read here that the Miners signed a 7'2 guy from Zimbabwe. How is the football team looking thus far?

I went to our Spring Football game for the very first time, and love the way our Blazers look on offense, defense is young but hungry, they're getting there. I'm visiting all Conference USA forums to try and strike up dialogue with fellow CUSA'ers. Best of fortune in all seasons.

Bball will be young, but very talented. Most will be freshmen and sophmores. But all players should be DI ready. I think NIT this year, and NCAA next year.

Fball is an unknown. QB shows flashes of brilliance, but need to see how it all plays out... I hear and read the team has really bulked up with lots of weight lifting in the off-season. But the schedule with Oklahoma, Wisconsin, etc. is going to be extremely tough.

I usually check this forum often, I just don't know enough (like you guys) to open my mouth.

Thank you. I hope you guys can steal the OU and UW games (even though I have a nephew that went to Wisconsin), we got "Little Sisters Of The Obnoxious" (Ohio State) & South Carolina on our OOC in football. Don't think we have UTEP this time on our schedule. Basketball's always an entertaining and intriguing encounter, I'm still in awe over that 3OT Battle at Bartow Arena a couple of seasons ago.

The year in hoops should be up for grabs, I follow women's basketball, too, and UTEP's team made quite an impression on me last year. We got some "new neighbors" moving in in 2013, 2 of them from the state of Texas. I think we should "welcome" all of them to Conference USA with open arms. Will stop by again as we get closer and closer to kickoff. Good luck to Miner Nation...
