Sorry, it was based off of an old Sun Belt map on Wikipedia, i'll fix it!

Can you add UNF and FGCU using blue dots? Blue dots for possible future additions.

I forgot. Please add UNCC, App State and ODU. Blue dots.

would you be more likely to travel to a game in DFW or Las Cruces...

few fans at this level of competition travel to these games...these are the games that are on tv on tuesday nites....on espn5-6-7

And when I said big wins are irrelevant I would take a 20 win season over a 13 win season with a few big wins any day. Big wins are nice but when your building your program it's all about winning as many games as you can and winning conference titles.

No one is going to care if UTA beats Texas after that season.

are you still here? i told you i filed you under the dummy pile.

bird of paradise answered my questions withouth throwing out some ridiculous statement.

my original question was not if they beat uk or texas. my question was if they had beat someone we had heard of.

i was waiting (already knew) for someone to post the north texas results. it was a low blow by me directed at some good friends of mine from unt.

but the rest of my questions were legit. and bird of paradise answered every one of them to my satisfaction. i have no pull on whether they get in or not. i was just curious what they add to the mix.

run along. go talk foolsball.

Lame, if your going to call someone a dummy can you at least type the sentences right? And even if you were originally joking it's pretty ignorant to say "my question was if they had beat someone we had heard of" in comparison to Sun Belt basketball.

Now you run along now. 03-lmfao

they have actually beaten quite a few teams better than the sunbelt...whether you have ever heard of them or not is irrelevant

You're right, that's some amazingly similar high school stadium. Here's the UTA field and bleachers:

Wouldn't take much to bring that thing to FBS standards.

What do you consider much? That's probably a minimum $20 million job.

after spending 78 million on a long needed arena..20 mil does not seem like much...or they could just use JerryWorld which is not far from the campus..

That would be the play. However, I have a question - I get that UT-A used to play football, so that is why they have a field, but why does it look like it has brand-new Field Turf?

I'm not so sure that's brand new field turf, but it does appear that the field is being used for soccer to me.

Holy crap...that's an eye sore. But I do like the throwback turf. Reminds me of MTSU's.

It IS probably fairly new as Arlington's 6 high schools often use it for games. also the track is in use by the university and the special olympics are held there so it does get some use and so it's somewhat maintained..when that stadium was under construction the mavs. played at Texas Rangers stadium, but the fans never liked that idea much...

I was thinking $45-50 mil. In Texas, that's chicken feed.

I was talking a pretty bare bones job at $20 million. Can't see spending $50 million to renovate that one if Apogee was built for $78 million. Might as well build a brand new stadium.

Well, since we're talking real estate between Big D and Ft. Worth, you are probably right, MTPIKAPP.

with all the new projects around campus..there may not be enough space for a new stadium..may have to renovate..

I like the idea of playing in Jerry World. It would be 90% empty but it would do wonders for recruiting. Even if it were only a couple games a year.

UTA does have gas and oil drilling on campus property and is receiving money for that. I believe that the plan was that tthey could use that money for stadium renovations. Money is not an issue.
