That's pretty funny, CJ. I almost did the same thing once. Thank goodness I usually save my comments in memory before posting, in case I do something like that. I've forgotten to click post more than once...

LOL, I assumed a moderator deleted it.

Then again, the mods haven't been very active on this board lately -- they used to do things like merging multiple threads on the same topic, but as you can see by looking at the thread list now, that is not being done anymore...

They're active. I received a warning for insulting a dumb UCF fan.

It's also the dead zone, between the end of basketball season/spring football and the start of fall practices. There don't seem to be all that many baseball fans anymore. It's not like when I was a kid...

I want to be moderator...I really think half of these threads are the same conversation and should be merged! I was moderator on another board and I did a solid job I feel.

I only hit report once and that was recently when a thread got derailed by a fan from a school adamantly defending his school when it had nothing at all to do with the overall conversation.

Those type of things should be split.

BTW, I just waded through the first 10-15 threads on this board, and the talk been cordial for the most part. The only bickering I noticed was actually led by me in one of those FSU/Clemson threads.

A convo about ACC/B12 for instance should not turn into a fight by let's say a Memphis and ECU fan...those posts should be split out. Sadly, it occurs a lot on here.

I agree, Hokie. There are a lot of people who derail threads based on some personal agenda. But that's always been the case...

Yeh, I never hesitated to split threads, change titles, and merge. I follow the belief that people are not smart enough to do it themselves and if you expect them to be you will be disappointed.

I do it when I'm online when the thread is getting derailed. But if I see it after the fact, and the conversation has moved on, I leave it alone...

Another thing I always did was lock if it went past the front page...that prevents the annoying instances where someone drops in months from now and kicks the sleeping dog so to speak
