Soldier Field 2012 Parking Pass
The parking pass is for Waldron deck only? I thought you couldn't grill except on the top level of Waldron?

Correct.

Lots of NIU fans complained about being with the not nice Iowa fans so Athletics listened and requested to SF that NIU be put in the Waldron deck.

Now after the game lots of NIU fans are going to complain they couldn't grill in the lower deck and they paid all this money for food.

My suggestion is for the drinkers and people bringing already prepaired food park on the bottom and leave the spaces on the top for the people grilling.

RE: Soldier Field 2012 Parking Pass
Props to the Athletic Department for (finally) getting preferred parking for Huskie fans in and on the Waldron Deck. I wouldn't think there'd be any problem getting on the top level if you get there early enough. That top level holds a lot of cars. For the Wisconsin game, NIU sold less than 500 parking passes total.

This is different than last year since the parking passes weren't just for the Waldon Deck. I like it, though, because I would much prefer to tailgate with all NIU people. Is NIU going to be the only school issuing the Waldon Deck parking passes? Hopefully no Iowa people?

If you get to Waldon earlier enough, I assume you will be able to park on the top deck right?

By the way, how did you find this out?

Damn it, looks like the Waldon Deck is open to the general public again:

http://soldierfield.clickandpark.com/apps/events

That blows. Then again, if NIU only sold 500 parking passes to the Wisconsin game, we aren't going to fill up the Waldon Deck anyways. I wonder how many cars that holds. Maybe 2,000?

My party has four parking passes so I can tell you four spots on top will be for us!!

I don't think this is any different than 2007 is it? If I recall, in 2007 when we played Iowa, all of the parking passes were in the Waldon. At least there is where I parked and thought I bought the parking pass through NIU.

Iowa Fans do suck a big one.

I made a comment about the chick peeing on a NIU fans car to someone in Athletics and they said they were already trying to give us the deck by ourselves. If we don't sell it out though the remainder will go onsale to the public. So buy them up now!

Did they say how they were going to give us the deck by ourselves? I don't see this turning out any differently than 2007 to be honest with you. I assume that in 2007 they tried the same thing. I sure hoped they learned something from 2007.

The Waldron Deck was not exclusive for Huskie fans in 2007 (or last year either). For the Iowa game in 2007, some Huskie fans parked in the Waldron Deck and some in the South Lot.

Got it, in 2007 maybe they must have given Huskie fans the choice of parking passes in either the Waldon and South Lot. While we may not fill it up, at least the percentage of NIU fans will be higher than it otherwise would be. Now we just need enough toilets. That may be out of NIU hands....

As a side note, I hope they also have that nice Alumni area they had last year as that was really nice.

The upper deck has 845 parking spots including 20 handicapped spaces. I would guess the lower deck will have less parking due to the supports. That would have it hold around 1650-1700 cars.

I always get to things when the parking lots open so the key will be making sure that all of the other NIU fans get their butt in gear and do the same things so we can get a majority of the parking spots on the upper deck. It would also help if we sold like a 1,000 spots too! I have 4 of the 1,000!

Guess what, folks? Money is everything here. There is NO parking lot exclusively for NIU fans. There is no way that NIU fans will fill up any of the lots. Think those usused spaces at almost $50 a pop will go unused? Think again! The Part District will fill spaces with the general public. Unfortunate as it may be, that includes Iowa fans.

Yup best buy the spots now and fill it with more red than yellow.

That could be, but much better for us to take up a large number of the spots on the Waldron Deck than be completely overwhelmed in the South Lot. Anyone that was in either lot in 2007 when Huskie fans didn't have priority in either place will tell you that this is much better for us.

Pee over the top of Waldron on the Iowa fans passing by. Just make sure you have good aim.

We'd never lower ourselves to their level? Would we? 03-lmfao

It does, but in 2007, there weren't nearly enough.
