Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single interview.

Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours, and her explosive revelations are set to rock the trail.

But now a "civil war" has erupted inside of the network, an insider claims, on exactly when the confession will air!

ABCNEWS suits determined it would be "unethical" to run the Marianne Gingrich interview so close to the South Carolina Primary, a curious decision, one insider argued, since the network has aggressively been reporting on other candidates.

A decision was tentatively made to air the interview next Monday, after all votes have been counted.

Gingrich canceled a press conference on Wednesday to deal with the matter.

"He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don't have to be connected," Marianne Gingrich, Newt's wife of 18 years, explained to ESQUIRE last year.

Romney was always going to be the nominee. Hell, this may make the conservative block feel sorry for Gingrich and consolidate around him rather than splitting their vote three ways. The fact that Romney is leading in SC polls tells you all you need to know. If he can win there, he'll win everywhere else.

Yeah, let's interview Gingrich's bitter ex-wife, but ignore all the people who have nasty, negative stories to tell about Obama, and let's avoid all the crooked, hateful people he associated with.

If I were a billionaire rightwinger, like Murdoch, I'd start up another media industry to help the rightwing and battle the stupidity of the Liberal media.

Apparently it's not even new information, it's just a rehash of what she's said repeatedly. I wish I could get paid to repeat myself constantly.

I agree Coop, Newt had no chance, but the media meddles when it only benefits the left, drives me nuts. Their golden boy is going to win, they got the challenger they wanted, Pelosi's happy.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Newt Gingrich's second wife says the GOP presidential candidate asked her for an "open marriage" in which he could have both a wife and a mistress.

In an interview with ABC News' "Nightline" scheduled to air Thursday night, Marianne Gingrich says she refused to go along with the proposal.

The interview is airing just two days before the South Carolina presidential primary, and as Gingrich is gaining ground on GOP front-runner Mitt Romney.

Marianne Gingrich was the candidate's second wife. He is now married to Callista Gingrich, with whom he has acknowledged having an affair.

In excerpts of the interview released by ABC, Marianne Gingrich said Gingrich conducted his affair with Callista "in my bedroom in our apartment in Washington."

Overall, I abhor the left-wing MSM but I disagree with the title of this thread. Sure, the media piled on in ways they wouldn't for a Dem, but the rest of the field also shot themselves in the foot along the way. In the end, the Republicans are getting our best candidate (of those running) to defeat Obama.

I agree. As far as multi term Senators and Congressmen go I bet a large percentage cheat and cheat often.

Clinton was a 2 term president that cheated on Hillary with many other women. Of course they did all they could to coerce these women to keep quiet.

Newt also attacked Clinton for his affair while he was having an affair of his own, so he comes across like a major hypocrite.
