WHy the change?
Well, we know this forum isn't about the skunk. My question is, what is it about. Scout.com Jags Jungle served us just fine, so why the change?

Hi Joe. Wish I could tell you. Scout emailed me yesterday afternoon and told me they were terminating the relationship. My feeling is that they plan to not have a publisher and just keep the revenue that the message board traffic generates without having to worry about making new content, i.e. the stories I used to write. After Scout was purchased bu Fox things haven;t gone to well for the network and I think this is another symptom. BTW, I'm not blaming Fox, but some of the original management team certainly made mistakes that didn't become apparent until after the sale.
I'm going to find us a new home very quickly, and this site is certainly a candidate. As soon as we get settles we'll start a stream of new recruiting information. Sorry for the change, but such is life.

Thanks, AJ for running a classy site over on scout. Don't know that this one will ever come close but I guess it's better than nothing.

I really appreciate you saying that. USA fans will be OK in terms of having a place to gather online.

Is there a way to change the layout? Not for everyone but just me. This color scheme is giving me fits.

AJ, I'm sure you own the domain "JagsJungle.Com", right? If so, it should be easy enough to redirect to this new forum, shouldn't it?

Just thinking out loud. I really do like this BBS much better than the old one, BTW (and for what it's worth) :-)

Yes, but I wanted to wait a few days in case we find another destination.

Hey guys,

Welcome aboard.

As to the layouot once AJ makes a decesion if he wants to stay then GTS will make a custom skin for the site. He does it all the time.

I LOATHE Rivals/Scouts message board formats so I'm glad to see you here. The nice thing about this place is that there are tons of fans from all the schools so they can all drop in on one another.

If I can do anything let me know.

AtlantaJag, thanks for all you do.

Thank you.
I honestly have never felt as appreciated as I have the last few days.
Our old board was pretty good and really had been building momentum, but that had virtually nothing to do with me and everything with all the great posters that had made it into such a great community.
We'll recapture that again in a very short amount of time.

What's a RSS feed? I mean, I know that it's the little orange squiggly lined box on a webpage, but I never have got the jest of it.

An "RSS feed" is a format to publish stuff that's updated a lot, automatically syndicating it. I think people can access RSS feeds with certain programs from anywhere. At least that's my understanding; I could very well be incorrect.

Yep. If you're using Firefox or Opera or Chrome the RSS icon should be lit up in your address bar. I avoid MSIE and you should, too. :)

It’s a way for you to aggregate all of your favorite blogs/websites/message board threads/whatever. Instead of going from site to site to site, you open up your RSS Reader (eg, Google Reader is what I use) and all of your RSS subs are there in one spot. The RSS Reader periodically checks all of your feeds for any updates and posts them to your Reader.
