That's it, my heart can't take anymore. I really feel for Harnish. Can you imagine how bad we are without him. Just not worth the aggravation anymore. Said I would donate to the IPF, but am backing out. Life is too short, I've had it!

Come on Oilgas, you are a great fan but don't get yourself too caught up in this. It was a great college football game, we were just outmanned on defense but the kids played a hell of a game and did not give up the entire game. They are a team that you can be proud to support. They are just not a t the level that we hoped they were and it is going to take some better players on D before they get there.

RE: Kansas Game Thread
This is going to sound crazy, but we may be scoring too quickly. We scored 42 points in 23 minutes, Kansas had the ball for almost 37 minutes. That's almost 2 to 1 in time of possession. Our defense was on the field for 90 plays, that's a huge number.

Don't get me wrong if we made a few plays on D that number comes down and our offense gets back on the field. Our LB's and CB's were horrendous.

I might go to the next court proceeding and deal with Orozco and VanArdsdale myself and please someone keep Clark away from the weed!

When we went against a smaller team in Army, the holes did not show. But against a Big 12 corn-fed o-line and a more athletic team, the D was exposed for what it is. Let Doreen and his boys regroup and fix the schemes and make player adjustments and see how we look then. The only problem, Wisko is not the game to see new adjustments.

Yes and no. The scale of tonight's defensive atrocity was outside the bounds of normal expectations. Bad defense wins the game by 7-10 points. Epic fail defense lost it.

Very disappointed. This will leave a very bitter taste.

It was the players and their poor tackling. It was being outweighed by 50 pounds per man on the line.

Yeah, they really shoved it down our throats. Wisconsin won't have much trouble creating their game plan.
They won on the last play of the game....again...bad defense showing, but not quite getting it shoved down our throats....Wisconsin 4 years ago, Ohio State 5 years ago, Michigan, etc...that was getting it shoved down our throat. The program still needs to keep getting better, but we are in much better shape. Have a shot and take it easy

which actually brings up a good point...one, where are our kickers...heard a lot about thier legs in spring ball but really...that sucked today....and two, does our special team coach understand that allowing them to start at the 50 is a bad idea...(Toledos Page is going to have a career day against us)

No question the defense is awful. I thought Wedel was supposed to put the ball in the endzone. The special teams shared equally in this loss. Letting Kansas start their last drive at the 50 is ridiculous. Also, our kickoff returners stink. Wisco might score 80.

I was also begging for the D to let them score quickly so Chandler could have a couple minutes.

Onside kicks work a lot less than half the time. It's not a good idea to do it with frequency.

We are not as good as we would have hoped this season (on D). Our offense is special and we should enjoy that as fans (especially Harnish). I still think that this team has what it takes to win the MAC and that is all that matters with a rookie coach.

We've seen epic fail defenses before. Iowa State 45-31? Toledo (3rd-and-33), Wolfe against Northwestern, and now Chandler against Kansas. I'm sure we'll see it again soon.

It'd be better than what happened tonight.
