RE: Toledo @ NIU Game Thread
To those who were there tonight: Great job!!!!

The ESPN broadcast was fantastic IMO. If I had to guess I'd say it won us a few recruiting points...not just the game but the portrayal of the atmosphere and stadium.

Like I was just telling 7, when they announced the attendance of 18,000, I was shocked. It sounded loud and it looked, for the most part, packed to me while watching on TV. Sometimes it matters less what the actual numbers are and more what it looked like the numbers were.

Tonight may have been the most positive NIU football night since 2004. That's my opinion.

The student section was awesome tonight. They were loud and having fun, especially in the 1st half.

Best Jerry Kill win of the Kill era.
He is 2-1 against Toledo!
He will go 8-0 in the MAC.
NIU gets better every game.
This is not the same team that lost to Illinois or Iowa State.
Winning in Detroit will be the next big hurdle.
Looking forward to great games against BSU and EMU.
Hope we do not get injuries against BSU.
They can play very dirty.
A win against BSU without injuries would be incredible.

RE: Toledo @ NIU Game Thread
eh, all he said was "i dont think".... That is still quite funny, but you could imagine an NIU fan might have had ample reason to feel that way and the one i quoted was more of an assertion..and i by no means was responding to it in any malice towards toledo...i just thought the certainty of the post proved hilarious. Glad we can both have a laugh tho.

No, it's really not bad at all. I do that quite often. In time, you will learn to enjoy it.

Even though we got drilled.

There were some circumstances surrounding the team in terms of coaching that cost NIU the MACC. We saw the difference a well prepared team can make in the Humanitarian Bowl.

UToledoFans, Im not trying to be mean, but you come across as a whiny little b***h. Im not telling you to not be proud of your school, there are plenty of women's NIT appearances to boast. Are you sure you want to come in here and slam NIU fans the year after your team got rolled by NIU, it just seems like misplaced anger.
