RE: OT Breaking Bad
I bought season 3 on dvd this past Friday. I finished the entire season, 4 minutes before the new season started.

I've watched since day 1.....and was hooked by every aspect of it. Plot, cinematography, music, acting....you name it....it's really good! It moves a bit slow at times (like tonight), but the writers are second to none.

That all changed later after he went into remission.

Of the two series that come on at the same time, Breaking Bad and Fallen Skies, Breaking Bad is just much better written. I've watched both and Fallen Skies has played to much like a made for sci-fi televsion series. I've seen similar on the sci-fi channel.

He started doing it for the money.....and then it became a pride issue.

Sorry about bringing this thread back, but....

Does anyone else think that he is going to become eventually a big time drug manufacturer and dealer himself?

RE: OT Breaking Bad
Yeah....he or Mike will knock off Gus, and Walt will become the drug czar.
I think the Mexican cartel will take him out next season...(since the show's scheduled to end).

I disagree. Breaking Bad>Falling skies no doubt I agree.

But this season of breaking bad<Falling skies. I haven't even watched the last 4 episodes, and I watched every one up till this season. This season is just trash IMO, IDK how they're going to end it. You can call me out for being too picky, but I did my fair share of drugs, except for meth and a couple others, but was around tweakers a few times, and I can tell you first hand, this show is one of the most unrealistic around. In real life it would not matter how pure his stuff is, 90% already comes from Mexico and the dude who owns the chicken stores would have no need to even talk to Walt. Only way it could be more realistic is to have real recovering meth addicts on set, which is never a good idea. Besides that, great show.

You're exactly right...this season is a disappointment. It hasn't measured up to previous seasons....though, last week was pretty good. It still has time to rebound.

RE: OT Breaking Bad
I caught it last year and watched all three seasons in a couple of months. It's one of, if not the best show on TV. It's painful and strange to find myself rooting for an increasingly bad, bad guy.

This season is moving slowly. But the last episode indicated some action is on the horizon, especially with the re-emergence of our fallen DEA brother-in-law Hank, and Walt's big mouth, which got Hank back in investigatory gear.

There will be one more season after this one.

RE: OT Breaking Bad
The first two seasons were AWESOME!

They are spending way too much time building up to an event. I understand setting the stage for a dramatic event...but it's too long.
The first episode this year was typical of this. Did we really need to see Gus undress (piece by piece) from his lab clothes before cutting the guys throat?
How many times do we need to see the idiotic party at Jesse's house? Enough already....he's crashing and we get it.

RE: OT Breaking Bad
Oh...Bmarkey....you're right....Walt's pride kept him in this business when he had accomplished his goal. Remember the druggie at Home Depot that was trying to build a lab? And Walt had to step in and correct him on the processes?
Pride will take you down every time. Just look at La Tech.
