OMEN!
My 1-year old reached up and pulled at a towel that was on the kitchen counter. My WMU glass...you know the glass...the glass I drink out of every day that there is a WMU football or basketball game...my favorite glass...was on the towel. It fell off, jacked my toddler in the left eye, and smashed on the kitchen floor. He's already got a shiner going on that eye.

My wife says "oooh, that's a bad omen".

Is it? Maybe as the glass smashed, years of non-championship ball in general smashed along with it. Maybe we'll get the double dip now, with an imminent championship in Cleveland, and our first football championship since 1988? What do you think? Sad that my favorite glass broke though...

RE: OMEN!
here we go. Perhaps a mass sacrifice is in order. We could all bring our favorite WMU items to the event, and have a mass sacrifice ceremony.

My 5 year old grandson has been to 13 games starting when he was 6 months old. We've not lost a single one of those games. His mother will not release him for a school night game. He won't be there Wednesday.

Last fall (late summer?) my 1 liter WMU stein broke, I'll have to figure out what date it broke on and compare how the football team did for the next few games.

RE: OMEN!
In February 2004 I dropped my precious WMU coffee cup and the handle broke off. I immediately ordered a new one online(with a new design). The Broncos won every game after that, winning the MAC championship until they finally lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament. They finished 26 - 5 that year, I think.

BTW. I still use the broken cup to hold pens and pencils and odds and ends on my dresser by a phone.

Ok after determining my stein broke in August before football started I figure we might be in for some trouble since football went 1-4 to start the season.
