Don't you just love how that happens? The U needs to get with all local media and get the word out. We need a big promotion to get a crowd in there.

Whats the difference? Lets be honest. Not many students would show up anyway.

You REALLY don't see the difference between students who will get loud and people from the community that would rather sit there like they are at the opera and tell everybody else to sit down?
I would just like to see UA with a good crowd for that game.

I was kidding. Kinda. I agree they do make some noise. We need to some how get students there like they were for the 2003/04 CofC game.

Hawk just mentioned that Wednesday's game against BSU will be Senior night for Alex Wolf. One more big reason to get that win.

Just remembered we have Lit Night at school (another glorified open house) until 7:30. Ducking out at 7:31, should be in my seat by 7:36.

That said, if he wins 18+ he deserves MCOY.
I honestly think he was open to being re-educated on the 2nd point this year. They seem WORLDS better don't they?? I give Hawk a ton of credit for our year so far.

Was at the Convo Center today; I liked the facility very much. There are lots of advantages going to an EMU game. You can go at the last minute and get seats nearly courtside for $9.00. Parking was close and convenient as well as free. I thought I'd wander into the upper bowl to check out the view up there, but it was blocked off, although I did count six people up there. I noted that there are a lot of dark spots up there, so the lighting is poor in the upper bowl. I don't know the actual attendance, but I'm guessing 800 or so? Been to three MAC areans, CMU/EMU/WMU; I like EMU the best. I don't think there were a lot of students there. All in all, a good road trip with a good ending.

BC, where were you sitting at the game? I was not in the section assigned by my ticket but that is another story. I wished I had known, I would have loved to meet you in person.
Always proud to be a Bronco.

Section 101; row 9; seat 15. There were a good mix of both EMU/WMU fans. It was a last minute decision to go. Glad I went. How bout you? Where were you? Would have been delighted to meet you.

You were sitting literally 3 rows behind me. I was section 101, row 6 seat 15. There with my wife, brother in law and father in law... all emu grads. I was quiet on the outside but very loud on the inside... lol

Me, too. I cheered but respectfully. I try not to go into to someone else's house and be too loud. Bad form.

RE: the official broncos @ EMU gamethread!
My wife and I never sat in our seats (Section 112), we moved over and sat in the same row, across the aisle, as Prof. Don Cooney, which was to the right of the Bronco Bench.
EMU has a nice arena. The EMU fans were glaring at our loud fan, the woman who sits up in the upper deck at UA and always displays spirit.
it was fun honoring Earl Boykins.
We enjoyed the East Side of the state by indulging in Gus' Greek Salad in Brighton before heading back West.

RE: the official broncos @ EMU gamethread!
BC, I'm not sure what section I was in. The ticket they gave me was section 102 and when I saw it was behind the basket to the left of the EMU bench, I decided to find my way to the section behind the WMU bench, which I did. I thought that it was a travesty that EMU would try and make the parents of our players sit in the end, the fartherest from the WMU bench.......despicable. Our university allows the parents to sit right behind the bench.
Flenard Whitfields mother was so mad when she saw where they tried to put her, that she went back out front and made them exchange her seats. She ended up sitting in front of us four rows and a little to our right. It was the largest crowd I've seen at EMU, but still it was not a problem finding a good seat.
I thought that the ceremony for Boykins was well done, and yes I applauded him respectfully.
I'm sorry we could not hook up.
Always proud to be a Bronco.

7000 available seats and they put us in section 112 behind the behemoth projection screen - couldn't see the scoreboard. Fortunately there were plenty of open seats to move to.
Agree with everyone else that the Convo is a really nice arena, but it seemed kind of gloomy in there to me.

RE: the official broncos @ EMU gamethread!
they clearly didn't know what they were doing when they gave out the seats. tons of center court seats and they shoved us all in section 101 behind the basket.... maybe they wanted it to look good for the boykins pictures?

RE: the official broncos @ EMU gamethread!
The gloominess was created by the performance of our team. It was sad that the only noise they made was after a 3 point shot was
made and the cheer team was throwing a t shirt into the crowd.
It was also pointed out how their cheer team would stand behind the basket during the WMU teams efforts to shoot free throws, and they were yelling their hearts out.................................all to no avail. Way to go Broncos.
Always proud to be a Bronco.
