That is what makes the CFN rankings so comical because they are supposed to be done by a human where slip ups that are driven strictly by schedule should be accounted for a by a human that is not on autopilot like a computer which cant do a good job.

False...they were #71 last week, prior to playing Boise State. Playing Boise did help them overall, but they weren't anywhere near 95 or 100.

RE: CFN rankings?
I really do not mean to pick on CFN so much, but why do they cover the MAC on their website if they do not put any effort into it. Check out the last sentence of thier capsule from the Buffalo game:

What It All Means: NIU was able to move the ball well against UB, but it had to work for it. Chad Spann had to earn his yards, and while Chandler Harnish was opportunistic and came up with a few nice throws, it took a little while to get the O heated up. Now on a four-game winning streak and in control of the MAC, it'll take another big game against a sputtering Central Michigan before going to Western Michigan in a game that will likely decide the MAC West.

HUH?????

I'm pretty sure they just look at the stats.

Yeah I agree, but in this case, I am confused how they interpret WMU and NIU for the MAC West deciding game, when Toledo is undefeated in conference play. I know they dont look at individual players in the MAC or watch any MAC games, but the least they could do is take a real quick glimpse at the conference records. Those are readily available anywhere.

NIU is under-rated. If you would have bet $100 on the last 4 wins you would have $1600.
$100-$200-$400-$800-$1600. After Saturday it will be $3200.

You do realize that's not how payouts work right? They payouts are usually quoted in -XXX or +XXX it generally isn't 1 for 1.

For example the line for NIU vs. CMU opened at NIU -9 (-110) meaning you have to bet 110 bucks to win 100.

The line has already moved to -10 @ some vegas books

RE: CFN rankings?
For what it's worth, Toledo lost to Boise State 57-14, but played them pretty well in the first half despite being down by a lot. Four turnovers in Boise State territory and a missed field goal plagued UT in the first half. We really moved the football on offense against them, which was very, very surprising to me.

Then of course we came out at home against Kent State and did absolutely nothing on offense in the first half. If it wasn't for a 27-0 2nd half performance, we probably would have lost to Kent State. Toledo is very inconsistent on offense.

Yea, that part didn't make any sense. Maybe they meant to say Toledo?

Not too late for betting people to profit, if it is legal.

I wish I knew how it worked.
If for no other reason but curiosity.

If NIU wins by more than 10 and one puts on x+10 , then you would win
$X correct?

RE: CFN rankings?
The negative number is how much you would have to bet to win $100. So if you bet $10 on NIU -110, you would win like nine dollars and some change. If the number is +110, then betting $100 wins you $110. So betting $10 would win you $11.
