Tremendous gameplan from the coaching staff. Tremendous game from Chandler Harnish. Temple is a very good team. Their Lines are as good as any we have played, and coaches game planned perfectly. Temple QB was bad, very bad in the second half. If they have a guy like Harnish, no question they win.

Biggest negative is our special teams coverage. It is atrocious. I've never seen a punter as inconsistent as Wilbur. Booms 1 out of every 5, otherwise he is really a liability.

Attended the game today (thanks again MD) and the crowd was dissappointing, though those in attendance were into the game. It was HOT, I mean really hot...near 90 with the sun blaring down. Great Victory.

Crowd very disappointing today, at least in numbers. Hopefully they're saving up for homecoming. Who stole Harnish and replaced him with a replica that's an excellent passer? Been a long time since I've seen a Huskie passer that proficient. And we have WRs that can go up and get the ball. That's HUGE! They also catch the ball consistently, just had that one drop that I can remember.

Very happy with the play calling, though I thought they were too conservative on that one drive near the end. Nothing to complain about though.

Statement win. Let's run the table on this home stand!

I remember hearing about this... Coach Golden has always rubbed me the wrong way. It seems pretty clear to me he's using Temple as a stepping stone and will take the first ticket out of town when the opportunity arises (Penn State? Might be time for Paterno to call it quits after getting whooped by the Fighting Zookers today).

However, he was nothing but respectful in his post game press conference:

Offensive game plan was perfect. Ball control, eat clock and keep Temple O off the field. Nice mix of run and pass. Harnish was threading the needle today.

This team is just oozing confidence. They are playing like they know they won't lose.

Absolutely pathetic showing by all our fans today. 90 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and we draw 14k? Embarrassing.

Attended my first home game in years. What a beautiful (hot) day. I was disappointed with the crowd, but I think the early start and the fact that this team is better than the NIU students realize held the crowd down. They will probably start coming out more if we continue to play like this. The students that did come out were loud!

I was impressed by the offense, especially the line, receivers, and Harnish. No turnovers and not too many penalties, although I thought the misconduct penalty was going to cost them. That is as bad a penalty as you can get. Defense had some lapses and their qb didn't take advantage. Defensive backs need to communicate better. special teams need a lot of improvement - punting, cover teams. Kicker has really been a nice surprise since the first 3 games. Really proud of the Huskies today. Their offense was unbelievable. Lots of Huskie FIRST DOWNS!

In fairness, that's true of every MAC coach. However, I have never liked Golden either. He just seems like a d-bag. I hope Temple loses the rest of their games.

One of my biggest complaints about Kill during his first two years was the predictiablity of our offense. The last three games, I think our offense has been more diverse than it has been during anytime this decade (or at least since the early part of of this decade). Kudos to Kill for finally opening up the playboook.

This is spot on, and I'm not sure who should get more of the praise, Kill or Limegrover? The playcalling is fantastic and they are using Chandler very well and maximizing his strengths. It's actually fun to watch our offense again. Last time it was fun to watch the O was when GW was running up and down the field.

Is Cameron Bell hurt? I didn't see him in the box score or participation report.

I think at least some of the credit should go to our newest hire, Jim Z. His coaching background as our new QB coach and former OC coordinator of the year last year in Division 3 would lead me to believe that he has plenty of influence on the O. In one of the interviews of Harnish, he mentioned how he called Jim Z. at home to discuss a certain stategy with him. Look at our offense, it it totally different, what do you guys think?

This is a little off-topic, but I didn't want to start another thread. The last time we played Temple at home, Temple had this kick returner who I believe also doubled as a WR. I can't remember his name, I just remember him being a fantastic ball player. Does anybody remember who I am thinking of?

Cameron Bell would have been a good option because he is a power runner that would have had fresh legs. I kept expecting the Huskies to go to him and they did not. It does make you wonder if he is dinged up or in the dog house.

If I had to guess, I'll bet Bell simply did not have a good week of practice. Perhaps Crider & Hopkins just showed more this week in practice. This hypothesis seems to fit Kill's "MO" for why or why not players see the field on Saturday.
