he is well liked, and an Owl fan favorite on Owlscoop 04-cheers

As an aside, owlscoop as been infested by Nova trolls... look out for them here leading up to the big game Saturday!

JHG722 is "Not" a Nova troll...

JHG722 is not "well liked" on the owlscoop board...Most of us can't stand him...

Alright... maybe I should have said "very" knowledgeable Owls sports poster?

Well-liked? Usually well-liked posters don't have threads like this started on their own message board:

"JHG722 should not be considered an Owl"

I say if JGH comes to DeKalb you should let him have a sit-down with Coffman.

I imagine if he had a sit down with MaddDawgz that'd be far worse a punishment. An hour's worth of hearing about how Mike Dinnuno is the most valuable player on the team will ruin anyone's day.

You may be right. I would have to think that a meeting with Coffman would last about 10 seconds or so.

Oh boy, they knock us...

Quote:So jhg722, you kick back in your dorm room, open up a beer, and enjoy your huge clash against whichever obscure directional school Temple plays next week on the Pennsylvania taxpayer's dime. I'm going to appreciate the service that members of our Armed Forces provide our great country.

Not to get off subject - but this statement was interesting, considering the article was written this month.

"Temple—arguably the worst football program in the nation."

This was true a few years ago maybe, but not anymore...

Temple's rise from ashes was relatively quick when you compare where other doormats still rest like emu, sjsu, newmex , newmxst, etc

Temple fans think they're smart:

Quote:I would be willing to bet you havent actually seen Harnish play this year. First, he wasn't the #1, someone else was and had such a horrible outing V Iowa St, they replaced him w Harnish.

Wow. Just goes to show you that box scores can be misleading.

Some more goodies (from the same poster):

Quote:Harnish isn't mobile vs this kind of defense.

I don't know what "this kind of defense" is but Harnish is a mobile quarterback. He's not a run first kind of quarterback but the guy can make plays happend. End of story.

I think we should have a weekly thread titled "(This Weeks Opponent's) Message Board" with a link so that we can laugh at all the dumb things the opposing teams' fans are saying about us.

No shortage either of dumb things expressed about opposition by some Huskie fans in DogPound.

Idaho last year comes to mind.

I can only assume it means that they are so bad, that they believe Chad Spann will be able to run for 200 yards himself, and when not handing off, Harnish will have no trouble picking apart the porous defensive backfield, throwing the ball to a variety of receivers for multiple touchdowns.

Their lack of confidence is surprising.

RE: #38 Temple
Game planning for Temple Owls must be a hoot for NIU coaches.

How best to attack D and Harnish reading his keys and not being hammered like Cutler & how best to defend Fowls who run more than fly downfield.

Sure hope we challenge them to defend the entire field most every play rather than limiting too many offensive play selections to snot knocking runs downhill into nine defenders in the box.

Mix it up Huskies. Time to show em what you have in the playbook.
Of course establish the run, use play action, throw short, use TEs, throw long and dare to use some trickeration in the exact right moment.

Do practice your 2 pt conversions ALOT should game come down to the wire or OT.

Most of all finish drives with TDs rather than FGs. WE may need 37 or more points to win this game.

Might Jazz be a key to any deception?

Cybes I don't think Jaz is a key to anything anymore. He's 4th on the RB depth chart right now.
