I really wish the reporter asked him why he gained weight. Did he want to gain weight to try and be a Tight End, or did he just gain weight from being out of football for a awhile. If its the latter, I don't think he will get a call from and NFL team.

I had no idea he had a workout with the Lions in December.

Jamarko needs some guidance. He's overweight for his pro-day? After 5 weeks of working out? He wants to play H-Back, but how many NFL offenses really utilize the position? A focused Jamarko can be pretty amazing, but he's all over the board here.

Only two pro-teams at the pro-day. Disappointing.

RE: wmu pro day results
Heard that Pritchard put on a good showing as well repped out 225lbs on bench 29 times, ran pretty good too. Simmons looked good to following up with what Graham said. Was told that Hiller did not do any of the running because he already did at the combine so there was no need. When he was throwing the ball around to Simmons, Sneider Julien, West, etc. Told that his arm strength looks like it has improved greatly and that he was spot on with his throws. Unfortunate that only TWO Scouts (KC and the Saints) showed up. I know it wasn't a Delmas/Simmons/Biggers event like last year but you would think that a Division I program in the state of Michigan could at least get a Detroit Lions Scout here.

Lions problem has never been identifying top talent. It's rounds 2-7 and the free agents that they can't evaluate for chit.

So far so good this season though. The Lions finally have a Pres. and GM with their heads screwed on straight. Now if only they could get a new owner who won't order the sell-off and trading of all the good talent should manage to pull off a decent season.

Simmons didn't help his cause by coming into pro day at 250 pounds.

RE: wmu pro day results
Heard that back surgery put him up for quite a while. Going from working out like crazy to having to rest up. He was a big boy to begin with im not surprised he put on a few. Conditioning and his weight can be altered pretty quick if need be. He could be down to 235 and back up to conditioning speed I would think in the next two months. Still could make an impact somewhere I would believe.

I'm sure he could lose the weight by the time he goes to a free agent camp. But this pro day was a big deal for him and he what they saw was an overweight WR prospect. I doubt that impressed.

He called himself overweight, so I'm guessing it's not muscle.
