Snead entering draft
Quote:Mississippi quarterback Jevan Snead will forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft.

"After much prayer and deliberation, I have decided to forego my final year at Ole Miss and enter the NFL draft," Snead said, thanking the school's coaches, fans and his teammates. "In the end, I had to do what is best for me and my family. Having finished my degree, I look forward to the challenge and hard work that comes with pursuing my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL."

Snead threw for 2,632 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior for the Rebels, who beat Oklahoma State in the AT&T Cotton Bowl.---MORE---

Best of luck to him.

I wish him well too. But it's a dumb, dumb, dumb decision.

RE: Snead entering draft
Some people think Nutt's system actually hurts his style of play.

Not buying that theory. Snead's performance hurt him more than anything else. It's a pro set built around the run setting up the pass. Simple as that. Snead just didnt' perform this season with any consistency. When he was on, he was on fire. But when his game was off, he absolutely stunk up the field.

Didn't say I bought it. Just heard it from a few people. I agree, he's all NFL-style with one exception, his mind. He needs to get his mental game together.

And he needs to get that game together in college, not in the pro's. He's going to get more than just his lunch handed to him.

Not trying to be ugly...I hope he does really well because I do consider him an Ole Miss Rebel for life. Just being realistic.
