Did FBU Camp at Northwestern (5/1 - 5/3): his performance in drills and competitions for 2 1/2 days earned him a nomination for "Top Gun" for FBU/Rival national showcase. Andre Rison is FBU's WR trainer who ran all the drills/competitions and liked a lot of what he saw apparently.
Side note .. during lunch break on Saturday, Scott went to hang out with kicking group in the indoor field (no wind). After putting several FGs thru from 45 and 50 yds, he moved to 55 yds and put a few more thru, including one that easily cleared the cross bars. He tried a few from 60 yds and came close, but apparently wore his leg out and gave up. He was then approached by the FBU kicking trainer who had been watching along with many others during lunch break.
...can this guy have his own thread?
It's not that I don't appreciate Scott, I think he has a chance to be good. But this may be too much on a guy that a bunch of schools are lightly recruiting.

RE: 2010 Football Recruiting Thread
Specific to this message board, Kuehn is being recruited pretty heavily by many MAC schools: NIU, Ball State, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Akron. Coach Fleck invited him to sit in on a WR team meeting before one of their practices. And per his coaches, Waubonsie is getting a lot of calls from D-1 Majors and Mid-Majors.
As for no offers .. though he passes the "eye test", he does not fit the blue chip "profile" for WR being a 6' white guy. But his performance at FBU last week caught their attention .. 2.5 days of intense training and evaluation by Andre Rison. Look for his evaluation on Rivals at some point soon and whether he makes Top Gun or not.
Watching him for 3 years at Waubonsie and getting to know him .. incredible determination and physical ability .. stay tuned.
In meantime, he is definitely MAC material, some doubt whether he projects higher.

Spring update on Scott Kuehn, who just got back from Scout Combine .. he has attended 3 events in last 3 weekends:
NUC Combine (Apr 26): Awarded "Fastest Man" with 4.54 in 40 yd; WR play got him invited to their Regional Combine in Indy in July
FBU Camp (May 1-3): 2.5 day camp with WR instructor Andre Rison resulted in Scott getting nomination for FBU/Rivals "Top Gun" on the spot. He also apparently dabbled in kicking and put several FGs thru from 50 and then 55 yds on an indoor field (no wind).
Scout Combine (May 10): got "Elite Eight" award for being Top 8 offensive performer for any position.

RE: 2010 Football Recruiting Thread
Brian Jones Cb from Chicago Morgan Park was quoted saying this:
"I know that a bunch of guys from my team at school including myself are planning to camp at the NIU one day camp at St. Rita. "
I really like the concept of having a camp in the city and at St.Rita. We should get a look at more players than we normally would, which is good.

Yes excellent idea by the staff to camp in the city. Not only does it give us a look at more kids, it gives more exposure and allows us to build relationships with coaches in the city.

St. Rita's football coach, Todd Kuska, is a Huskie alum.

RE: 2010 Football Recruiting Thread
Looks like Miami O. is going to be recruiting the Chicago market more aggressively, they have offered -5- players to our -7- as of today on Rivals. Their new coach is a domer and has offered significantly more players so far, from Tex to NJ to Fla. Miami has always hit the area for 1 or 2.

well he runs a 4.8 40yd dash, which is slower than Larry English...i dont know if id call that wheels, especially for his size. but then again, the coaches know more than me, i just found it odd with his measurable being fairly short, light, and average speed

Kuehn, WR, Class of 2010 .. just got confirmation, Kuehn will be at NIU Camp at St Rita on Sunday (5/31).
His bio .. 61 catches, 687 yards, 9 TDs in 10 games last season. He was All State Special Mention (Tribune) along with Prater and Hunt. He is 6'0", 190 lbs, runs official 4.54 forty and 4.10 shuttle. Heard from one of his coaches, he just maxed out in weight room this week .. benched 255 lbs, power cleaned 285 lbs, squated 405 lbs.
Stay tuned .. he will emerge as most under-rated IL WR.

You can't be serious.
Your over posting about an average, and that's being nice, recruit is making me hope we never offer this guy.
You are doing more harm than good at this point.

Obviously you are tired of my posts. You are free to think and post what you want. But I am simply promoting a kid who I think is under-rated. Not sure why you take that personally to point you hope NIU does not offer. And suggesting he is "average, and that's being nice" ? You are letting this get personal for some strange reason. Lastly, this is just a blog .. not sure what harm I could be doing trying to get a kid noticed. Every fact I have posted is a fact, and verifiable.
Would prefer to keep this constuctive.

Are you kidding, what you are doing is straight up spam!
There isn't a purpose to your posts other than to create a fake amount of hype for some kid that for those of us who have seem him play is average at best.
He doesn't have an offer from us, there is no reason to spam us with this baloney. Why not take it to a general recruiting forum, why are you focusing on us?

What does it matter. Does Kill come on this website. He is making up his own decision. No one on this websit has any effect.
In other news, Nick Jones received an offer from South Carolina. NEXT!!!
